2.6 May Hill Legless Cow Bottle from the brewer at Tetbury Food & Drink show. Very traditional British ESB really - bitter nose and mouth, slight fruit, slight tang in the finish, but largely a pretty bog standard drop. Drinks well - light carbing and a smooth mouthfeel lets you tip it down easily - but very undistinguished. Sunday, September 22, 2013

2.6 May Hill Over The Hill Cask conditioned gravity dispense Banbury Beer Festival 10/05/13. A black beer which pours with barely any head. Dry and roasty in the nose but with really gluey problems in the mouth. Spoilt and not the best start to the festival. I am aware others complained about this beer. Tuesday, May 14, 2013

3.4 May Hill Admiral May Cask conditioned at Rugby Beer Fest ’12. Amber with white head. An odd beer this one, I had sweetish caramel with a background chocolate note, not strong but there and then a plum like flavour, quite juicy. Reasonable, but still odd. Saturday, June 16, 2012

3 May Hill Legless Cow 9th December 2011 Pig’s Ear. Cloudy amber beer, suddy off white head. Light dry palate. Low carbonation. Lacto malt with a little tang and sourness. Grapefruit marmalade, tangy orange. Very dry finish - well overdone. An interesting beer with the contrast of lacto malt and sourness but the palate is way too dry. Saturday, April 14, 2012

2.5 May Hill Summit Bottle from the Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, kindly purchased for me by Loz 18.03.12 consumed 21.03.12 Mmmhh.. I was hoping for some good things from this new brewery but alas its very much a malty beer that offers little else. The nose has some dark sugars and has a sort of unfinished feel about it, touch of dusty old spirit. Taste is malty and whilst better than the nose it just feels like a work in progress, the hops are difficult to pick out but there is a very slight bitterness after the malt heavy front. I’m not really a fan, little bit of cocoa, yes not my thing really. Hazy dark brown with very little head of note. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov10 2.5 Wednesday, March 21, 2012
