GoddamnNoise	3.4 Menduiña Sour Reserve Vintage 2019 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in an IPA glass, best before: 2025/12. Aroma: high intensity aromas of acidic white wine must, hints of acetic acid, vinegar, brettanomyces, white grapes, malts, toasted and caramel malts. Appearance: amber to light amber color with beige foam made of small bubbles which barely grow up over time, medium head thickness, no Brussels' lacing, medium to high retention, medium haziness. Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness, high sourness. Flavors of acidic white wine must, vinegar, acetic acid, hints of brettanomyces, white grapes, malts, toasted malts. Balance is toward the sourness but well balanced for the style, resulting a medium to high vinegary sourness. Mouthfeel: low to medium body, watery to slightly oily texture, carbonation, long dry and sour finish with the aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is not very high, very well hidden by the sourness and only noticeable because of a low to medium mouth and throat warming. Astringency is not noticeable. Hop burn is not noticeable. Overall: very good looking, powerful aromas and flavors of acidic white wine must, vinegar, acetic acid, hints of grapes, brettanomyces, malts, toasted malts. Quite good, refreshing, and drinkable. It could be better with a bit less of sourness, more complexity and layers of flavors. Saturday, November 18, 2023

Soft-sweet smoked beer. Again phenolic with a slight salinity. A bit vinous too, strangely enough. Chewy, very slick to oily feel. Soft carbonation, creamy. Not half bad! GoddamnNoise	3.6 Menduiña Sour Reserve Vintage 2018 33 cl. bottle@ home, served in a teku glass, best before: Aroma: medium intensity aromas of white grapes, fermenting white wine, wine, cider, appel, very subtle hints of vinegar and acetic acid. Appearance: amber to light copper color with beige foam made of tiny and small bubbles, some of them grow quite quickly to become medium and large ones. High head thickness, high retention, low Brussels' lacing, a quite thick layer of foam remains on top of the beer for a very long time. Low to medium haziness. Taste: low to medium sweetness, low bitterness, medium sourness. Flavors of grapes, white wine, fermenting wine, vinegar, acetic acid, cider, apples. Quite well balanced, the sweetness is very well balanced by the sourness. The sourness is quite refreshing and not mouth puckering. Mouthfeel: low to medium body, watery texture, low to medium carbonation, long mainly sour finish with the aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is not noticeable in the aroma or flavor and only noticeable because of its mouth and throat warming. Astringency is not noticeable. Overall: very good appearance, powerful aromas and flavors of white grapes, white wine, fermenting white wine, vinegar, acetic acid. Well balanced, the sourness makes the beer very refreshing and it is not too high and not mouth puckering. Refreshing, drinkable and not bad, but it lacks of more layers of flavors and more complexity. Friday, August 27, 2021

Aroma y sabor maltosos y dominados por el envejecimiento en bareica, sin mucha complejidad pero dando lo que promete. Cuerpo medio-bajo y carbonatación media. Pimot	3.8 Menduiña Sour Reserve Vintage 2018 Color dorado-ámbar turbio con espuma alta blanca de buena retención y residuo medio. Aroma a barrica, manzana verde o sidra y fruta fermentada con notas a malta caramelizada, almacén y ligero acético. Sabor a fruta fermentada, cítricos pasados y malta caramelizada con notas a polvo, almacén, barrica y acético. Dulzor medio-ligero, alcohol y amargor medios y acidez medio-alta con regusto medio. Textura acuosa, cuerpo medio-ligero y carbonatación medio-alta. Una Sour que consigue sacar toques de cerveza lámbica con una mayor carga de cereal tostado. Afrutada en el sentido más maduro y fermentado, entre manzana y cítricos, aunque peca de simplicidad al final del trago. Buena propuesta. Friday, April 2, 2021

Sabor a pan integral o multicereales, malta tostada, tierra y frutas oscuras (ciruela quizá) con notas a resina, minerales y ligeras especias. Dulzor, alcohol y amargor medios con regusto medio. Sabor a maltas quemadas, regaliz y olivas negras con notas a ceniza, café y ligera madera. Dulzor y alcohol medios y amargor medio-alto con regusto medio. Textura semi-oleosa, cuerpo medio y carbonatación ligera. Una Imperial Stout con 11 tipos de malta que brillan por su ausencia.
