Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, fruity hops, leather notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, pale malt, grass, leather notes. Aroma is roasted malts, ashes, smoked bacon, toffee. Taste is medium sweet and lightly roasty, with notes of smoked toffee, espresso, dried leaves, toasted bread. Finishes quite bitter and dry, ashy. erickok	3.6 Gopher's Beer Klobaska Brown murky body and small frothy lasting head. Lots of smoke, leather, fermentation aromas, bit nutty, not much of a hop presence. Somewhat odd mouthfeel, low in carbonation yet spritzy. Lager like taste, basement aromas. Unique leathery appeal. Perhaps some sulphur or something that makes it quite hard to like. I do very much like the ending of this beer, which is long but ready for another sip. Interesting beer though and I totally belief it would pair well with mustard and pork sausages! A bit like glue. the beer starts extremely woody-sour with a very strange sweet aroma. Nearly undrinkable --> I hope that this beer has turned! Otherwise this taste is more than disgusting. ClubGonzo	2.6 Gopher's Beer Sunny Friday Bottle. Pours a smokey amber-orange body with a large, creamy off-white head. Aroma is quite faint, with only a few grassy hop notes reaching me as I try to sniff up something to type. Oh wait, there is also a few faint notes of red fruits, otherwise pretty blank. Taste is pale malts, nuts, nougat, straw and hints of dry grass and mild herbal touches in the back. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation. An OK ale, but either this bottle is far too old (I can’t find any BB date) or it should be labelled as "English Pale Ale" (in which case it would have scored a bit higher in my book - this is certainly no APA). Leighton	3.1 Gopher's Beer Klobaska Bottle at home in London. Many thanks to Tomer for providing. Breakfast beer to kick off my trip to the USA; it’s now 5:16am. Pours a kind of muddled russet with a large, frothing tan head that fades into a short cream. Nose gives off a hefty dose of smoked caramel, toast, ripening fruits. Light sweet flavor with further smoked caramel character, some dry leaves, mellow toasty bread. It’s not as sweet as I had expected, or as sweet as I would have hoped. Light bodied with lively, explosive-in-the-mouth carbonation. Dries out slightly to finish, more leaves, light bitterness, mellow smoked malts, dry caramel. Not an altogether great beer.
