Hopfung recht dezent. Insgesamt tut sich da nicht sooo viel, ist aber schon ganz OK. Recht anspruchslos zu genießen. Ist in etwa auf dem Niveau des besten No-Name Billig-Weizen, dass man bei Aldi / Lidl / Netto / Penny bekommen kann. Aroma is sweet caramel, wheat, herb, artificial fruit, banoffe. Quite sweet with light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, watery, quite fizzy. Sweet clammy sticky finish. Fair. jgb9348	2 Cordillera Very crisp and clear golden coloured body with a lot of white head, about six centimetres tall that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of light grass, some lemons and hay with a touch of rice here, seemingly in the malt bill. Light-bodied; Sharp and strong light lager yeast with a lot of hay, grass and crispness without too much complexity or sweetness, this just is an easy-drinking lager, it seems like (fairly expected). Aftertaste shows some subdued rice notes with light grain, a touch of dough and yeast with only a little bit of citrus flavours and a grassiness that finishes off nicely with a mild sweetness that seems to be from honey at best and caster sugar at worst. Overall, a decent enough beer without much flavours or complexity, but an easy-drinking and crisp beer that has some smooth notes to drink while it's hot here, even in summertime. I sampled this 33 cL can, purchased from Grifos Espinoza [minimart] in Lince, Lima, Peru on 02-August-2022 for S./3.70 while walking the streets of Lima on 02-August-2022. Wednesday, August 3, 2022
jgb9348	2.7 Cusqueña De Trigo Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of wheat, grass, hay and some flowers with a tiny bit of spice noticeable towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Relatively strong wheat flavours show at first with some nice sweetness from bananas and a dash of yeast and bread here as well without much else, but a relatively easy-drinking wheatie profile. Aftertaste shows some light coriander seed at the very end with more of a banana and yeastie finish with some soft sugars, that seems to work very well with Peruvian chicken! Overall, a nice beer, especially for the food that I'm eating right now and a welcome option for the Cusquena lineup, perhaps my favourite so far. A good option if you are here in the country, as it should be relatively easy-to-find and quite easy-drinking while being full of flavour and a good deal of copmlexity. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Primo's Chicken Bar in San Isidro, Lima, Peru on 02-August-2022 with my wife and three kids while eating dinner here. Wednesday, August 3, 2022
jgb9348	2.5 Cusqueña Red Lager Rich ruby and light brown coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of relatively strong malts with a light nutty and earthy scent with some light sugars here and almost no hops at all. Light to Medium-bodied; Fairly strong nutty and earthy qualities show at first with some light sweetness from the caster sugar and a little bit of stone fruits, but this really is all about the malts with a super easy-drinking profile. Aftertaste shows some earthiness and surprisingly, a good amount of creaminess and lactose notes with only a touch of hops and bitterness, but this is smooth and easy-drinking. Overall, a light and crisp beer that has a bit of a toasted malt profile, but very easy-drinking and sweet without any hop notes or associated bitterness. Nice to sample here in Peru and a welcome option to have a slight difference from light lagers. I sampled this 33 cL bottle, purchased from Grifos Espinoza [minimart] in Lince, Lima, Peru on 02-August-2022 for S./4,90 while walking the streets of Lima on 02-August-2022. Idiosynkrasie	2.8 Cusqueña De Trigo 330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark orange golden to amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, wheaty malty and slightly fruity aroma, rather unspecific fruitiness. Taste is sweet, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, notes of banana, a dry hoppy and a minimally tart-ish, fruit acidic counterpart lends some freshness. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and dry, simultaneously minimally cloying palate, medium, prickly carbonation. A bit monotonous, but clean and quite refreshing - not bad.
