Aroma is sweet and tart apple, a hint of earthy fruit wood, hints of sweet and tart cherry and hibiscus tartness. Flavor is tart apple, caramelized ape, a little cherry, light mineral and tart stone and berry fruit notes. Light body, slightly syrupy entry, dry, crisp and refreshing after that, big and spritzy carbonation. Good stuff, refreshing and flavorful. It's surprisingly easy going. Monday, June 15, 2020

Aroma of sweet and slightly tart apple, pear, white wine, fruity floral notes lightly toasty oak and a hint of earth. Flavor is caramelized apple, oak, mineral, juicy red apple and hints of berry. Aroma of sweet and tart apple, light oxidation and some earth. Flavor is sweet and earthy up front with a hint of must, then apple, floral and a hint of caramel. Light body, spritzy, crisp. Not bad. zizzybalubba	3.5 Island Orchard Brut Apple Cider 330 mL bottle from Woodman’s Market, Waukesha, WI. Sparkling pale yellow pour. Aroma of apples and is very reminiscent of a pinot grigio. Nice taste of tart green apples, lemon flesh, and hints of brown sugar. Finish is a bit more tart than most ciders I have tried but it is not off-putting. A nicely done cider. JK	3.4 Island Orchard Pear Cider GTMW 2015. I liked this, and enjoyed all three that I tried from Island Orchard. I do not get much pear in the flavor, but it is much sweeter than the apple ciders. Nearly clear, but good carbonation on the palate. Even though there is some sugar here, this is not sweet like a cheap cider you might find in a six pack. good. Wednesday, August 12, 2015

JK	3.6 Island Orchard Brut Apple Cider GTMW 2015. Dry, but also apple flavor. Very little sweetness at all. Some yeast, dry overall, nearly clear, and carbonation is moderate, giving a good palate with these flavors. I wonder what this would do with some time. Much better than the average American cider. asedzie	3.8 Island Orchard Apple Cherry Cider Bottle and on tap at cidery. Pours rose with minimal head, clear with good bubbles. Nose is fresh apples and tart cherry crumble. Flavor begins with just a bit of sweetness and then ends with a tart bite of cranberry-like cherry notes, some tanins and just a touch of earthy yeast in the finish. asedzie	3.9 Island Orchard Brut Apple Cider Bottle and on tap at the cidery on the peninsula. Awesome stuff. Pours golden with bubbles and small white head. Nose is layered fruitiness and light yeast esters. Taste starts just a touch sweet and then comes some yeast complexity of earth and just the lightest bit of cellar, finishes with a mild tartness and flavor of freshly cut apple peels. The aroma picked up a sweet blend of pears and apples with very light oak, vinous, and grassy character.. came across very clean. The flavor found prickly, tart pear skins and light peppery notes on the tip of the tongue, with slightly-sweetened crisp pear meat behind.. prickly carbonation and tart pear skins on the dry finish. Lighter-bodied with fairly low carbonation.. a touch sweeter than I usually like.. overall very crisp and refreshing. Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Flavor is mild, but nice, tangy pear, some sweetness due to what appears to be some mild back-sweetening, its not completely dry. still blows away Woodchuck and any of those shit 5% ciders. Tart apple aroma, clean, certainly not overly sweet, perhaps a hint of oak and some floral perfume in the background. Extremely pale, lightly hazy champagne in color with plenty of fine visible effervescence. Flavor profile is mildly tart and dry, simple and clean apple once again, with a very slight woody quality, just enough to be perceptible really, and a very slight earthiness late. Very fine carbonation level and quite refreshing on the palate, quite drinkable overall. Perhaps not oaky enough to fit my expectations, but this was a pleasant enough and highly quaffable cider. Trace carbonation visible. Soft aroma of apple and vague minerality, no noticeable oak. Taste has a slight apple sweetness on the front end becoming dry in the finish. The flavor was quite nice and true to the desired Normandy cider style. Dry minerals with subtle apple components. Oak was barely there but contributes to a backbone in the cider.
