corkyrory66	2.1 Mad Yeast Stout Stout de 6 % abv, avec malts d'orge et de blé. Mon exemplaire était à 3 ans moins 3 mois après sa date. Couleur marron aux reflets roux, et opacité assez forte. Mousse beige, crémeuse, stable à 3 mm. Arômes de baies sauvages, cerises au vin, noix pas assez mûre. 1ère bouche souple, sur un ensemble malt grillé/vin rouge mal vieilli. Arrière-bouche courte, sans personnalité. 2ème bouche avec malt torréfié, mais aussi des nuances métalliques ... Arrière-bouche toujours courte, et sans grand intérêt Longueur qui trouve un goût de vin bouchonné .. Jambes huileuses, courtes. Levure basique. Alcool très faible, il ne peut rien pour les saveurs. Attaque acide sur les brett pince un peu les papilles avec fraîcheur. Milieu de bouche légèrement broisé contre balance bien l'acidité à l'attaque avec un gentille rondeur charnue mais courte. En tout cas, les saveurs brettées surpassent le joli maltage avec un gout vineux doux de barrique. C'est moyennement amer et acidulé. Finale sèche boisée et surette. Alengrin	3.7 Funky Max presents Saison Vignon Danish saison aged on Tilquin lambic barrels, 75 cl bottle with cork and muselet – the first of which was shot out of the bottle with a big bang as soon as the muselet was removed. A brief moment of very fierce gushing ensued, but it was fortunately brief enough to reduce the amount of loss… Towering high, very thickly ‘papier maché’-like lacing, off-white, bath foam-like head on a hazy pale straw blonde beer with khaki-ish tinge and fierce sparkling. Aroma of sharp lambic-like green plum and peach kernels, lots of dried citrus peel, green banana, dusty attic, straw, Brettanomyces-induced stale sweat and urine-like notes, unsugared yoghurt, tzatziki, fennel, moldy lemons, fermenting gooseberries, sourdough, sawdust. Crisp, estery onset, sweetish green banana and unripe pear drenched in a relatively mellow, green plum- and gooseberry-like tartness from the lambic barrel; spritzy carb, enlivening a slick, cereally, bread crust-like and wheaty-soapy malt body with a light and very dim rye touch. Bretty sweat and fermenting stonefruit notes clearly appear in the finish, adding lambic funkiness which is then tempered by a spicy, citrus peel-ish hop bitterness from the dry-hopping – making this beer end dry due to both bitterness and sourness, but both factors are well-balanced against each other. A fine modern farmhouse ale created by making clever use of a lambic element – but the lambic yeasts must have had a feast here, as opening the bottle is truly a dangerous endeavour. Could have been a bit maltier for me, but otherwise decently ‘funky’ and ‘dusty’ and in that sense feeling very Belgian, which I assume was the intention. Tuesday, August 14, 2018

Pretty cloudy blond beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some fake brett, smells a bit like urinals, funky. MF: very lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: artificial brett, like from a Wyeast package or something, lots of tannins, bit lemony, soapy bitterness, rather unpleasant. PlutonowyMan	3.9 Mad Yeast Saison Vignon TEBF 2018. Barwa bardzo jasna, słomkowa, zmętniona. Piana jest biała, średnio wysoka o średniej trwałości. Aromat jest zdecydowanie kwaśny, wytrawny. Są owoce, głównie białe (winogrona, agrest) nuty wiejskie. Smak jest tylko delikatnie kwaśny, jest słodowy, nieco dziki, podobnie owocowy, głównie z białymi winogronami. PixelPC	2.8 Mad Yeast Triple Mad Belle couleur trouble, on voit bien l'utilisation du froment. Col de mousse a disparu assez vite, carbonatation tres correcte et mousse persistante, cremeuse comme on l'aime. Au nez on est sur agrumes frais, tres frais, citronné, floral, fruits exotiques, legère vanille sur arrière plan, on sent le co2 également. Dépot de levures bien présent dans le fond et en suspension En bouche l'alcool est bien dosé pour une triple, l'amertume est bien présent avec un arrière gout acide dut à l'utilisation de blé. L'ananas , le citron, les fruits de la passion. Un rien trop amrère qd meme peut etre un rien trop à mon gout pour une tripme. Cela dit, c'est frais, c'est agréable. C'est plutot une triple d'été à mon sens. Finale un peu sèche, et acidité persistante. C'est sympa mais cà reste un peu court à mon gout pour le style. Saturday, March 31, 2018

fiery1	3.6 Funky Max presents Saison Vignon 750ml bottle @ Matt's, purchased from Tilquin. Pours a cloudy golden copper colour with small white head. Nose has a mild lambic funk, yoghurt, and oak. Flavour is simple upfront of plain malts, then develops into a nice funk, lambic-esque, semi bitter finish. Quite nice, however I feel this could have more. There's a lot of potential here. sebletitje	4 Funky Max presents Saison Vignon Bouteille 75cl @ Annual Tilquin Enthusiasts Admin tasting, merci Pierre. Version revisitée par Max de la version antérieure. Couleur dorée, col est blanc assez épais et tenace. Arôme est très plaisant, malté pils ponctué par des effluves de fruité citronné mais aussi de petites notes d'agrumes. l'effet de lambic ajoute une petite pointe de funk qui n'est pas sans enlever du charme de ce côté saison. Palais reste bien belge avec une bonne finalité, le tout est sec, relevé par le caractère du lambic et un effet de grains qui est persistant. L'effervescence est moyenne voire haute avec un léger picotement en bouche. Retrouve une légère sécheresse latente du boisé. Friday, January 12, 2018

corkyrory66	1.3 Mad Yeast Mad Saison Saison de 5,5 % abv, avec 3 malts (orge, froment, seigle), brassée chez Anders en Belgique. Mon exemplaire était à 2 mois avant sa date. Couleur doré tendre, à la clarté brillante. Bulles fines, en colonnes droites, vives. Mousse blanche, à flocons moyens, un peu plus ferme en haut, stable à 3 mm. Arômes de malt, houblon fin, zeste de citron, citronnelle, pamplemousse. 1ère bouche assez mince, à l’entame fine sur fruits blancs et fleurs. Arrière-bouche agréable, à l’amertume délicate. 2ème bouche moins précise, moins harmonieuse. Arrière-bouche plus courte. 3ème plus diluée, avec des pointes de plastic (!!). Arrière-bouche sur le zeste, un peu vague. Longueur qui perd tout lien, les bouches sont désorganisées et faibles. Jambes collantes sur toute la paroi. Levure simple, ligne basique. Alcool très superficiel, il ne s’attarde pas aux saveurs. Finale défectueuse.
