KevinReddirt	2.3 Palma Cristal 12 oz can found at the favored HEB supermarket locally. My first Cuban beer, not much to say about that. I am using a tulip glass this afternoon, tilting the can now and pouring. Totally clear with a sparkling yellow color and persistent cover of snow white foam. I smell grain, corn and citrus, par for the course for the style imo. The taste gives lemon, white bread and more of the corn. A touch of bitterness but no sweetness at all. I can say the presence is full, there is that. Still, it is a basic beer in a basic style. Saturday, April 13, 2024

Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è medio. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è appena percepibile e si prolunga in modo appena percepibile. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. wiggies13	2.1 Palma Cristal On draught at Cubar, Sandbach. Looks browner than a typical lager. Low carbonation, head disappears quickly. Tastes a bit sweeter than a typical lager too - perhaps there’s some caramel notes in there that give the browner colour? Overall it’s a fairly bland, grain/grass drink, a little more interesting than some, but with food it was perfectly acceptable and worth a try. Friday, December 8, 2023

LazyPyro	1.8 Palma Cristal 355ml can, smuggled back from Cuba by my neighbour without me even asking. Turns out I already had a Cuba country tick, oh well. Pours a crystal clear golden, head disappeared immediately. Aroma is a bit vegetal (rotting), sweet malts. Taste is the same, vegetal, sweet grainy malts, corny, no hops, watery. Yeah it's no good. tfontana	2.4 Mayabe Cerveza Clara Bottle pour from Total Wine & More, Burlington. It's a clear, pale yellow with tons of sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, bordering on cocoa. Taste is corn with grass hops. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with watery texture, flat-to-soft carbonation and crisp finish. Overall, aroma was somewhat intriguing but flavor is nothing like it. Watery texture. Appreciate the Cuba tick. Tuesday, April 4, 2023

tontalus	1.7 Mayabe Cerveza Fuerte Den kubanischen Ureinwohnern ist das Mayabe gewidmet. Ich habe es nur in der Dose gesehen. Als Tourist kommt man kaum an das für die Kubaner gebraute Bier, aber mit etwas Überredungskunst... Das amerikanische Lager (Pils German Style ist gaaanz weit weg!) kommt strohgelb und klar ins Glas bzw. in den Plastikbecher. Es riecht sehr schwach malzig. Die gemischt porige Schaumkrone fällt schnell zusammen. Beim Antrunk absolut nichts. Ein schwacher, zu glatter Malzkörper zum Ausrutschen. Abgang genauso langweilig, ich kann keinen Hopfen erkennen. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass es unter dem Cristal noch eine tiefere Stufe gibt. 08-2019 Sunday, December 25, 2022
tontalus	2.9 Bucanero Fuerte Das “Piratenbier“ Bucanero kommt in den Supermärkten in Kuba direkt nach dem meistverkauften Cristal. Oft in der Dose, selten in der braunen Flasche kann man den würzigen Malz riechen. Es kommt goldgelb und klar ins Glas mit feinporiger fingerdicker Schaumkrone, die sofort verschwindet. Beim Antrunk kernig wie ein Export, wenn auch leicht metallisch. Beim Abgang kaum wahrnehmbare Hopfenbitterkeit. tontalus	1.7 Palma Cristal Das Cristal ist das meistverkaufte Bier Kubas. Die grüne Flasche gibt doppelt Abzug. da die intensive Sonne hier dem Bier noch mehr schadet. Selten bekommt man ein Glas, bei meinem war der mittelporige Schaum gleich weg. Das Bier kommt gelb und klar ins Glas. Beim Antrunk sehr schwacher Malzkörper, ohne Gewürze oder Eigengeschmack. Abgang genauso langweilig. Kohlensäure könnte stärker sein. Wenn die Außentemperatur nicht über 30Grad ist, kann man das nicht trinken. 08-2019 Sunday, December 25, 2022

Ízre hasonló: nagyon vizes, nagyon kevés az íze. Némi malátás édesség, komlós keserüség nincs. Mint ahogy habja sincs. Ha már árutazta a világot, csak megiszom.
