Vine Park 651 Tyga Bite Tsov Tom
12 ounce bottle from Niemuth's. WTF is this stuff? Hazy orange, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of grain, tea, lemon. Taste is grainy malt, citrus, and that tea thing. Thin, crisp, mild bitterness. Forgettable.

This looks OK, but goes down like water. Mostly because it doesn’t have much more flavor than water. Not bad in any way, but nothing there to excite.

Vine Park Flipping Falcon
Pours a dark amber with lasting beige head and great lacing. Aroma is a bubble gum candy sweetness mixed with roasted malts. Taste is well-balanced sweetness with a finish that matches the aroma - bitter pine to dry it out, with some of the well-roasted malts in the aftertaste. This is pretty good. Not much info from Vine Park on this beer. It’s not on their recipe list or website, but I’ve had it multiple times and it makes many appearances on untappd.

Sweet, smooth. Water like consistency and appearance. Can’t believe this is 8%. Not bad...couldn’t do more than a bottle of this, though. Gets cloying fast.

Vine Park 100% Evil IPA
Pours an excellent clear amber with lasting tan head and great lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is more brown sugar malty sweetness, with some hops that follow to balance out a bit. Very English, with no fruit or pine in the hops. Not bad. The best beer of Fall 2016 brewing.

Pours a nice clear deep, reddish brown amber with lasting tan head and good lacing. Aroma is woody, leather, caramel. Taste is toasted caramel malts with some hop bitterness coming afterwards to clean things out. Nothing spectacular, and relatively simple, but decently tasty.

Vine Park Cherry Stout
Small pour, on draft at Winterfest 2014 in St. Paul, MN. Consumed on 1-31-14. Pours dark brown. Heavy cherry in the aroma; cherry cordial. Tangy taste features chocolate and cherry flavors. It’s a bit too artificial tasting to be excellent but it is a nice beer.

Really very respectable porter. Pours rich brown without a ton of head. Chocolate and rich malt front, smooth and rounded finish uninflected by the hops. Rich palate for a porter. Good. Growler.

Vine Park 100% Evil IPA
This isn’t really all that evil. In fact, a more appropriate name might be, "Friendly, Approachable IPA". It poured with a really massive, foaming head--the kind that makes you pour super slowly and even then it fills with so much head you have to let it sit for a minute before filling the second half. I bought my growler on a Saturday and cracked it the same day, then capped it and put it in the fridge. When I opened it again on Wednesday, it was at the perfect level of carbonation for my preferences. As for the taste, it was highly subdued, with a nice hop bouquet but a very balanced malt body that gave it a somewhat caramelly, English IPA quality. It wasn’t that far on the spectrum, to be sure, but there was nothing dominating on the front end or slapping you on the backend. No alcohol notes to observe. Very easy drinking IPA. Growler from brewery.

Vine Park Black Magic Imperial Stout
Good, dark color, very nice chocolate flavors, decent palate, and most happily, a nice finish with nothing awkward or out of character. Could be deeper, denser, and more concentrated in the flavors, but a very reasonable Imperial Stout though only average to slightly above average. (from a growler that a group of neighbors consumed the same day that I bought it)

Vine Park Rattlesnake Doppelbock
I opted for this beer over their Belgian pale ale--I was given five free growlers as a Christmas present from my sisters-in-law. Two friends and I found it easy to finish most of a growler (one person doing more of the drinking)...very drinkable. Characteristic dark color and roasted qualities, though somewhat muted in the scheme of things--nothing like an Andechser of course--and the alcohol was also quite restrained. Moderate sweetness, tempered caramel, though certainly rich enough. Having it as a growler was probably better than getting it straight off the tap, as the muted carbonation suited the somewhat middle-of-the-road coating qualities in the palate. Decent beer and very drinkable; almost a "dark brown ale" rather than a Doppelbock lager. (growler from brewery)

Growler from brewery. Pours a reddish-brown with tall foamy head. Lot’s of lacing. Caramel and woodsy hops on the nose. Flavor has notes of caramel, biscuit, roasted malt, a little nutty, maybe a slight hint of coffee. Balanced well with some spicy hops. Medium mouthfeel. Tastes like a combination of an Oktoberfest and a nut brown ale. I thought this was excellent. (2nd Rating) This is the batch that we brewed ourselves as opposed to the brewery brewed growler I bought two weeks ago. Color, head, and aroma are the same. Taste is a little less bold, little more watery, less spicy and nutty. Still decent caramelly malt base and good balancing hops. Still biscuity. The batch we brewed is definitely not as high quality as the brewery batch but still very drinkable. I’d rate this a 3.0.
