Ron	3.7 Four Peaks Single Tank Series: Kühl Beanz On tap with dinner with Patty and Erica. Poured a dark brown with a tan head. Aromas mostly of coffee with plenty of dark roasted malt. Braudog	1.5 Four Peaks Double Knot Bottle, marked "Best by 06/28/2023," but I bought it at Total Wine in Tucson in 2/2024. Removing the cap, the foam erupted, nearly cresting, but not quite. This poured a murky, milky orange mush. The aroma also reeks of a crazy cacophonous mash. This drinks with an almost pulpy feel, over the top tropical fruit sugars and almost sour off-putting finish. Maybe because it's old? This is an AB brand, and it's on the shelf that far past the "best by" date? It was worse next door at BevMO ... 'best by July 2022!'. mcberko	3.8 Four Peaks Double Pumpkin Porter On tap at Angel’s Trumpet, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings roasted pumpkin purée, some toasted caramel and plenty of pumpkin spices. Flavour is surprisingly nice, with roasted pumpkin purée, accentuated by gentle pumpkin spices, dry caramel, and some burnt sugars. This is impressive. Livendadream	3.4 Four Peaks Recreational Juice Btl pours clear golden color with a big fluffy off white head that vanished leaving a ring of foam with specks of lace on glass. Aromas of citrus fruit, pine forest and Tastes of orange, grapefruit juice and a bit of pine tar resin. I feel like it has actual orange/ grapefruit juice or soda in it. Kinda overwhelms the beer. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, toasted nuts, maple syrup), lightly hoppy (orange). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, syrupy/watery texture, lively/soft carbonation. Kinda simple and flabby / syrupy sweet, but no off notes. ClarkVV	2.8 Four Peaks Imperial Hazy IPA Can, bb 12/29/22, drunk 10/31/22. Moderately hazy, bronze-golden with a staunch white head. Lightly juicy, heavily estery, maybe some cotton candy in there. Hops aren't exactly shining, though it's not scalliony, thank god. The usual clear spruce and potpourri from cashmere not really present. Light alcohol, as well. Soft and with some light spiciness from the cashmere. Little bit of dank character, no onion, lots of wheat and pretty good attenuation, but just not in to this cotton candy-forward yeast character and moderately sharp alcohol. Change the yeast, lower the gravity. Monday, October 31, 2022
