Grumbo	3.8 Foxfield Store Porter 30/10/2023. Cask pour shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours black with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts, berries, coffee, chocolate, hints of treacle, liquorice and ash. Moderate sweetness, nice roasted bitterness, touch of better tartness. Medium body, a little fizzy. Fruity bitter roasted finish. Good. Sunday, October 29, 2023
Theydon_Bois	3.8 Foxfield Store Porter Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 14/09/23. Black with a good sized tan head that thins to a swirl and edgework. Nose is dark malts, charr, fruit cake mix, dates, brown bread, cocoa powder. Taste comprises dark malts, vanilla, spice, charr, dates, figs, cocoa sprinkle, toffee, brown sugar dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy flavoursome porter ... comes in well below 8.7%. Thursday, September 14, 2023
danlo	4.1 Foxfield Store Porter Gravity cask at Durham Beer Festival, 2023. Black colour, thin beige rim and aroma of dark malt, molasses, plum, dried fruity. Taste is roasty, malt, chocolate, treacle, dried fruit, with spicy earthy bitterness and some booze. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying boozy roasty bitter finish. Very drinkable . Aromas & tastes of fruits, ginger & chilli spices. Well balanced. A somewhat unique take on a walnut porter, still enjoyable nevertheless Saturday, March 6, 2021

The_Osprey	2.7 Foxfield Dark Mild August 2017 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Foxfield Dark Mild'. Brown with an orange hue, foamy light brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is papery, lightest coffee, demerara in water. Body is light and smooth, quite watery. Taste is watery, sugary, light demerara, quite insipid into the finish. Can be tricky to get a mild right given that they are supposed to have low bitterness, but they need something going on. This one is a bit too watery. (5-4-4-3-11=2.7) Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Taste comprises brown bread, light spice, hint of chocolate, mellow fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. jjsint	3.3 Foxfield A Green Goat Cask at Prince of Wales, Foxfield. Dark gold, slightly hazy. The big Northern white head dissipates and leaves a beautiful cloud on top of the beer. Muted aroma of slightly sour citrus. Taste is sweet, fruity and subtle, with a sourish kick near the end. Bitter aftertaste. Nice amount of carbonation. This has got something quite moreish about it. Nocturne	3.1 Foxfield A2B Breakfast Mild Cask at Prince of Wales, Foxfield. Dark colour with a creamy head. Light coffee and cocoa aroma. Taste is also along those lines with ash and blackcurrant fruit popping up. Soft and light mouthfeel; body could be stronger. Not sure about the ’breakfast’ part but a good mild all the same. Nocturne	3.6 Foxfield Walnut Stout Cask as ’Dark Walnut Stout’, Prince of Wales, Foxfield. Black with a head that never seems to diminish. Creamy aroma, vanilla. Chocolate malt figuring prominently in the taste. Nice roastiness but hard to detect any walnut influence. On the dry side with a fizzy carbonation that detracts somewhat, but quite a nice creamy mouthfeel. Really solid stuff. Thursday, September 4, 2014
