3 Golden Eagle Ale Pour is hazy, almost greenish-yellow with lots of rising bubbles and thin, soft head, lace rings. Taste is crisp and hoppy, clean, unassertive. Mild aromas. Average. Thursday, February 28, 2008

2.5 Golden Eagle Ale On tap at the brewery (restaurant?) Pale yellow, clear. Corn aroma. Instant malt on the tongue. Ale beginning and typical yellow corn finish. Seems like a new brewery. A drinkable first shot. Tuesday, July 11, 2006

2.8 Golden Eagle Ale (Draft: Eagle Brewing Co. in Mukilteo, WA) Wow, hard to find this place. It’s looks like a small deli that used to be someone’s house, and they only had one of their beers on tap, the golden ale, and well, I guess I don’t have much choice, golden ale it is, and I’ll drink it while watching "When Harry Met Sally" on the tube. Not expecting much, I am pleasantly surprised. It’s a pretty standard golden ale, grainy, moderately sweet, mildly bitter with a subtle but spicy hoppiness. Grainy nose is mildy spicy from the hops. Light body. Hazy, light golden color. Small, white head settles to a broken film, leaving a bit of lace at the top of the glass. Not my favorite style, but for the style, this is fine, but the movie is better... Thursday, September 1, 2005

2.9 Golden Eagle Ale Light amber colour with slight haze. Malt-accented, with some earthy yeast notes and slight toastiness. Reasonable complexity for style. Slightly earthy finish. Straightforward example. Sunday, July 3, 2005
