cmacklin	3 Old Yale Gin Fizz Citrus Sour 473ml can. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Tart fruity aroma of grainy wheat malt, lemon and juniper. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, lemon and orange peel in a dry, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Not terrible. It's refreshing and crushable, just one dimensional. The lemon overpowers everything else. More of a lemon sour than anything else. Monday, March 18, 2024

RennyDoig	3.3 Old Yale Honey Toasted Almond Ale On tap at brewery. Pours golden with small white head. Aroma has notes of honey and crisp malts. Flavours is lightly toasted malts and honey with notes of marzipan. Moderate carbonation. Light overall, but pretty enjoyable. Monday, February 19, 2024

Flavour dominated by dry roasted malts with some espresso notes. Pretty decent, but the nose was more impressive than the flavour. Monday, February 19, 2024
RennyDoig	3.4 Old Yale Himalayan Salted Caramel Porter On tap at brewery. Pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma very strongly salted caramel and vanilla. Flavour packs a lot of well-sallted caramel and a bit of coffee. Mouthfeel is thick and syrupy, but quite smooth. Definitely toes the line in terms of heavy-handed dessert flavours, but very enjoyable beer. Monday, February 19, 2024

Flavour predominantly pine and resin with malt and floral notes; some oily resin lingering on the finish. Mouthfeel could be a bit more aggressive, but was very drinkable as is. Good beer. Gerbeer	3.5 Old Yale Brown Sugar Oat Stout 473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of dark sugars, cocoa and roasted malts. Flavors of sugary chocolate, cream and roasted malts with a hint of cinnamon. Big for the ABV but really sugary. Thursday, December 7, 2023
mcberko	3.5 Old Yale Brown Sugar Oat Stout On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is soft, with lots of oats, no trace of brown sugar (likely fermented all our), and toasted malt. Flavour brings out plenty of brown sugar, toasted malt, and a touch of oats. Strong biscuity malt aroma Looks good in the glass with a deep amber/copper colour and a thin wisp of beige coloured foam. Like the aroma, the flavour is all malt. Tastes of good mellow raspberry and tart lemon backed up by just enough sour grain. Ends full, smooth, good carbonation. It's refreshing and cooleresque, working well in that fashion. It's lean, with a good malt base (that I wouldn't call crisp, rather call it chewy), balanced bitterness, but with blended hop flavour (some resins, some grass), could be brighter; pleasant lager esters. Flavour is oily, with lots of resinous and piney hops, sweet caramel malt, and some syrupy notes. The balance is borderline acceptable, but still too malty, oily and sweet. It’s not the most refined, nor is the hop character all that potent. Not bad—I appreciate that it’s west coast style—but it needs some work to be notable. For me, too malty and oily. It's full bodied, not too sweet, maybe a bit oily; mellow malt base, with a touch of caramel and biscuits; the hop has some fruity qualities (ripe stone fruits), and balanced bitterness; the alcohol is hidden.
