Goodgrief	4 Weeping Radish Beachin' Barley Can from brewery. Beautiful amber color, frothy head. Aroma of cereal grain. Lots of grainy in this, some caramel malt, but a nice crisp dryness keeps this from even thinking about being cloying. This is a solid effort. Sunday, September 12, 2021
obxdude10	3.8 Weeping Radish My Pilsner Found a four pack of cans at the Corolla Food Lion while on vacation. This pilsner poured a clear light golden color with a decent sized white head. The head left some nice lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose featured some malt and grains, along with some prickly and flowerly hops. The flavors were mostly floral and spicy hops, with some bready malts hanging out in the background for good balance. This is another excellent and enjoyable beer from the Radish! Cakes	1.1 Weeping Radish Corolla Gold Helles Lager 16 oz. can at the brewery. The weirdest brew of the year. My son-in-law picked up a-pack of this at the brewpub on his way back from the Outer Banks. He is an experienced home brewer and he drank of them. He gave me this fourth one to get my feedback, and he watched me as I drank it. The nose is distinct. It smells like the straw of a horses stable- WITH the horse manure. I thought it was a joke, and he did too. The picture on the label said that it was a fund raiser for the Corolla Wild Horses Fund. It smells like where horses have been, and of course the nose effects the taste! It pours nicely and is a handsome looking beer- looks like a fine German Helles, but boy was this ever weird. obxdude10	3.9 Weeping Radish Yours Truli I enjoyed a four-pack of pounder cans of this while on vacation on the Banks a few weeks ago. This beer took me a back a few decades when one was able to go to all the different pubs the Weeping Radish had open on the Outer Banks and exchange liter, flip-top bottles with new, fresh ones. One of my favorites was the Weizen the Radish used to brew. Your Truli did a pretty good job of bringing back those memories with a fairly accurate recipe. The beer poured a light orange color with a generous white head that left some really nice lacing around the glass. The nose was full of wheat, lemon, banana and clove notes. The body was very drinkable and smooth. A lot of the same notes from the nose carried into the flavors, with a well-balanced palate of fruit, yeast and bready malts. I really wish I could still get my hands on that original Weizen beer. It was one of my first favorite microbrews! Saturday, September 7, 2019

hman43	3.4 Weeping Radish Christmas Double Bock It pours deep amber with reddish hues. It has a light brown head with moderately low head retention. It has a strong, malt rich aroma highlighted by caramel. There are some dark fruit aromas with some dark cherry in the background. It has a very slight herbal quality. It has a malty rich flavor that is highlight by caramel with a slight nutty and chocolate notes. The dark cherry is more pronounced in the taste than in the smell. There are also some low herbal elements. It has a moderate body with a dry aftertaste. There is some slight alcohol warming. The head was on the beige side and fairly bubbly. It left some nice lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose was very malty and with a hint of caramel and bread. obxdude10	2.8 Weeping Radish OBX Shandy (Pink Lemonade) I'm not a huge fan of shandy-style beers, but this one from the Weeping Radish was decent enough to enjoy on the beach and back at the vacation home. I picked up a few tall cans of these at the Corolla Food Lion. The beer poured a very clear light golden color with virtually no head. The nose was mostly light hops, a hint of malt and a very sweet and fruity lemon note. The flavors were crisp and fairly light, dominated by the sugary lemonade notes.
