Breckenridge Pumpkin Spice Latte
$2.75 nitro pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours is quite nice, as expected. Dark brown, nearly black with a creamy, soft, tan nitro head. Aroma is coffee, pumpkin spices (nutmeg and cinnamon). Flavor is a light-to-medium-roasted coffee with pumpkin spices added. Itís OK, but kinda thin and lacking a lot of flavor.

Breckenridge Mango Mosaic Pale Ale
12 oz. bottle. 5.5% ABV per the label, so a slightly different recipe. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled, white head, with slight lacing, over a slightly hazy yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is mango, pine, resin, mild malts with slight cracker......taste is light malts, then mango, later grass, allium, pine, resin finishing with moderate bitterness.......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation with mild acid. This is another example of the fairly trite new style ales, using new style hops, with the frequent flaw of a bit of allium, and or fruits. This has a nice bitterness for an APA, and the mango was gently used. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

Breckenridge Pumpkin Spice Latte
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 16 oz nitro can. Deep, dark brown pour with slight red tint to it. Tantalizing spicy aroma with some nutmeg and pumpkin spice. Flavor is similarly situated, solid spiciness, with plenty of pumpkin pie spiciness, a touch of vanilla in the background. Nitro pour allows for a creamy, thick pour.

Breckenridge Whiskey Barrel Aged 72 Imperial
Aged bomber from Caponeísand Whole Foods PM, Iíd estimate 6-12 mo old. Pours hazy blackish brown with 2-fingers of frothy, dark brown head. Nose is oaky whiskey, dark choc, molasses. Tastes oaky, with heavy whiskey notes, tannins, chocolate, and a somewhat dry and rough-around-the-edges finish.

Breckenridge 471 IPA Barrel Series - Eureka!
Pours a clear orange - amber with a thick foamy white head. Not much of an aroma. Massive alcohol warmth and feel up front. Felt like I was drinking rubbing alcohol or lighter fluid. Not much of any flavors come through the alcohol. Not refreshing at all.

Dried leaves aroma earthy with treacle accents, not strong. Ruby brown, hazy, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Dried leaves, cherries, and elderberries, wood on the back end. Medium body, moderate carbonation, alcohol well concealed. I donít have a lot of experience with the style, itís not my favorite but I enjoyed this one. I think this a style that just must be served from a cask.

Breckenridge Stranahanís Well Built ESB
750ml corked bottle, thanks Russ! Bottle #9612. Aroma is boozy with whiskey, vanilla, oak, caramel and a bit of nuttiness. Pours dark caramel colored with a thin off white head that has poor retention and excellent lacing. Starts with caramel and nuttiness that breaks down pretty quick into booziness. Finishes smooth with whiskey, vanilla and oak flavors as well as a lot of booze still. While some of the flavors have been broken down by time, this is still pretty good for one that was forgotten in the cellar for so long.

Can - pours super black with a thickish nitro fluffy tan head. Not much aroma - a little coffee, roasty malt and maybe hint of pumpkin. I was hoping for more pumpkin but I do taste coffee, a hint of pumpkin pie spice and chocolate. Meh

Breckenridge Mango Mosaic Pale Ale
Bot. Smell is mango with heavy BO. Difficult and strong and in yer face on the uptake. Nasty nellie, evil Knievel. Nose is still a turn off, never cleans up. Yukky kukky. Mouth coating bitter happy BS. Near the end of the bottle, this stuff really gets me into turn off city. Not nice for any lager lover. Whewwie. The odd thing about this is that it feels like a 7% brew but now I see itís really a session ale, WTF? Oh, BTW, this should be in the IPA style, because it is one.

Breckenridge Pumpkin Spice Latte
From can, dark rock in color with the cascade effect of nitro leaving a thick creamy head. The aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg and a little cinnamon. The taste is coffee almost a cappuccino flavor with a really strong nutmeg good pumpkin sweetness to the back end of the beer. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with a nice spiced finish. Overall this is a good Nitro from the can that is good on the coffee flavor and itís very effective with the pumpkin and spice.

Breckenridge Brewery Lane Series Imperial White IPA
750 ml. corked and caged bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, tiny bubbled, off white head, with slight lacing over a hazy, light gold (SRM 4) body......nose is grapefruit, pine, light resin from the hops, light wheat, hints of lemon, balance to the hops......taste is lightly floral honey sweet, with light clove, banana/bubblegum tones, mild wheat, light cracker tones from the malts, moderate pine, citrus, melon from the hops, finishing with lingering resin type hop bitterness, balanced.....mouth feel, medium body, moderate alcohol warmth, high carbonation with moderate acid. This is a delicious confection, but not for Winter.. The yeast, lemongrass and malts contribute enough to the aromas and flavors so that the hops, as in so many of the newer style of IPA and I/DIPA, are contributors not dominators. The complexity as a result, in both aromas and flavor is high without being muddled. To repeat, this is delicious, and refreshing, as a Spring, Summer, Fall beer. BJCP 9/3/16/4/8

Breckenridge Autumn Ale
12 oz. bottle. ABV 7% per the label. The recipe has evolved as the ABV is not the same. Pours a medium thick, light beige, well retained head, with moderate curtain lacing, over a clear brown red (SRM 25) body......nose is sweet malts, with light toffee/caramel, light dried fruit notes, minimal hop spice, balance to the malts,.....taste is sweet with toffee/caramel, light nuttiness, dried fruit tones, finishing with mild sweet sherry tones, minimal hop spice with cola notes, balance to the malts.........mouth feel, medium, sticky body, mild alcohol, moderate carbonation. This beer is a nice display of the contribution of Munich malts to beers. The result is a beer that meets the stated style quite nicely, as long as the drinker is not offended by a larger than average malty sweetness, and low hop contribution in both aroma and flavor. Breckenridge Mountain Series: KŲlsch
Poured from bottle into a shaker glass at the Poleís party. Clear straw colour with snow white foam, thin and short lived, no lace. Lots of carbonation escaping up the walls of the glass. Grainy, peppery, fairly true-to-style Kolsch, but lacked the fulness and mineral water mouthfeel, subtle ale yeast fruitiness of better examples. Better than Leinenkugel but not nearly as good as Schlaflyís Kolsch. Thin, almost watery, so highly carbonated as to seem metallic. Not great, is it a sign of A-B ownership/mass-distribution changes for the worse?

Appearance: Pale golden. hazy. Half a finger of white foam. Nose: lightly roasted malt, sweeter, tropical fruit. Touch of citrus. Taste: similar to the nose. Sweeter mango with decent light malt. Touch of citrus hops. Body: Medium to lighter. Lively carbonation. Parting thoughts: Decent mango ale. Unsure if they added mango juice during the process. Definitely tastes like it.

Opaque yellow appearance with a medium size white head and decent lacing. Muted aroma did not really showcase the hops mentioned in the commercial description. Those hops are a little more noticeable in the aftertaste. Light bodied with average carbonation and a short lived finish. Neither a drain pour nor exciting, just -you know- ABíish.

Hazy deep gold beer, good cream colour head. Bourbon and vanilla on the nose. Palate is smooth, mildly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts into sweetish fruity bourbon. Mild vanilla. Mellow marmalade hops, a little pine. Smooth bourbon finish. Nice beer but like the Eureka version, the base beer is getting a little swamped with the barrel aging.

Hazy orange - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, light creamy sweetness. Fruity bourbon, some bourbon spice. Touch of bitter wood. Mild marmalade, touch of lemon. Light bitterish finish. Nice beer but the BA on this one I think has not left enough of the base beer showing through.

Breckenridge Mango Mosaic Pale Ale
Bottle. Nose of mango and grainy pale malt, touch paper, fainter dank; pour hazy golden with a tiny hint of bronze, but a gleaming bright white head. Taste highly resinous, pine, stronger paper in the finish where the fruitiness of the mango really shines, but thereís spicier, muskier character up front and bits of rind and pith scattered about. Full body has strong malt base, though a simple one; lightly tart and very crisp, medium rubbery-yeasty bitterness and a touch of chalk, some competing flavors that donít outright clash but at times struggle to work together. Heavy but also enveloping, like walking through a clouded hookah bar on a humid night, and the mango linger so long on the back palate that Iím starting to think itís artificial/extract. Breckenridge 471 Small Batch IPA
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. Breckenridge Lucky U IPA
Pint can, nitro version. Pretty muted aroma with light notes of caramel malt, citrus and piney hops. Pours light amber colored with one finger of silky white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with a silky smooth mouthfeel and light body with caramel malt flavors. Finishes very smooth with light piney and citrus hop bitterness and flavor. Nice beer with an excellent body and mouthfeel, but lacking on the actual IPA flavor with very little hop or malt flavor overall.
