Breckenridge Kingís Dish
Sampled on draft at Dad?s Pub this beer poured a dark nut brown with a medium sized foamy-creamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was toasty and nutty with a vague floral and fruity hop note. The flavor was toasty, nutty and bready with a bit of wood and moderate bitter floral hops. Very long finish. Medium body. Alcohol well controlled. Ok

Bottle. A- Cola, subtle vanilla, slight sour apple, chestnuts. A- Black color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Sour, vanilla, subtle booze, apples. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- My third Breckenridge beer that has turned. Another sour nasty concoction. Disappointed. I was really expecting to enjoy it. It was still drinkable but definitely none of the notes I wanted to taste.

Daffodil, cat pee, mango nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Orange and grain initially, mango and lilly later. Light body, moderate carbonation, dry.. Surprisingly floral, but the mango is definitely there. Great complexity for a session beer.

Breckenridge 471 IPA Barrel Series: Simcoe
Sweet aroma of brown sugar and honey with vanilla, citrus and some bourbon barrel in the background. Slightly boozy, I donít give a lot of 10ís on aroma, but this really earns it. Nice see through crimson color with an off white head. Taste is also caramel/butterscotch sweet with a hint of hops that do not amount to much or last long. Barrel aging is present in the taste with an oak and vanilla finish. I could have used more hops, but this is drinkable as hell for 10.5%. Tastes more like a barleywine than a DIPA. Good smooth palate. I really liked this one, but I must warn all hop heads that it is different. If you hate sweet, you will hate this. I hope itís not a headache in a bottle; I donít want to re-rate this one.

Breckenridge Mango Mosaic Pale Ale
bottle @ Belmont Party Supply / Dayton OH --- Aroma of smooth malt. Nearly clear medium / light amber, white head that sinks to a full head cover, broken sheets of lace. Taste is light malt with some fruit (most likely mango) that adds medium carbonation on the swallow, then more fruit followed by light bittering in a long finish that sees mango resurface at the very end. An interesting, unique, balanced brew. I could drink it again.

Out of all the vanilla porters on the market, this one kicks butt. Bottle. Vanilla and malt aroma. Malty vanilla flavors, but it's more intense than other vanilla porters out there. Nice beer!

On draft at Flying Saucer, this sucker is dark, with only a hint of amber. Totally malty, but only a little roasty. Just enough flavor to make it worthwhile.

Sample at the OTR Beerfest during Cincinnati Beer Week. Clear copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Tropical fruit, hops and oak in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon and fruity hops. The finish is oaky and fruity with a bourbon and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Breckenridge Kingís Dish
Shared 12 oz. bottle at Lunar Brewing Co., poured to a snifter showing a clear, brownish mahogany color, with a modest layer of off white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was a bit of caramel, dried fruit, fig, and a hint of cherry. Light to medium bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste was dry and grainy, with moderate, earthy bitterness. Esters didnít seem to transfer to the flavor. Better aroma, and not really that "Strong" for this interesting, but neglected Burton Ale style.

Breckenridge Ophelia - Tequila Barrel
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of almost all foam white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The bubbly mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of mild wheat hops malt and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

On Tap at Tullyís. I thought this was better than an 18 - thatís Bud Light territory. It had a few redeeming qualities such as itís appearance and it was drinkable and mostly inoffensive as most summer beers are. Why the unwritten beer rule that in the summer we have to drink low ABV watery stuff? I still want Imperial Stouts, Barleywines and DIPAs.

Clear, deep golden color with a smaller, light cream colored head. Pils aromas, but the hops seem a little to earthy. Pale malt and a freshly watered flower scent. Quite sweet from the start. Quite floral and bits of resin. Feel is full, but somehow Iím not satisfied. Perhaps a bit too acidic. 7/10

Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout
Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout has a thin-to-medium, beige, cola-type head of foam, a very dark-brown (essentially black) appearance, with tight bubble streams on the sides of the glass, and just a few lacing strings left behind. Aroma is of acrid, sharp malt, some raisin, and pungent note. Taste is of acrid, roasted malt, a bit of char, some sweetness, and the bitterness stems from the carbon, more so than from hops. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, and Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout finishes medium-wet and a bit dull. RJT

Bomber poured a clear amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of caramel, bourbon, oak, peach, orange zest, pine and light vanilla. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bourbon, caramel, oak, fruitiness, light grapefruit and light pine with a smoith dry moderately bitter lingering bourbon finish.

Breckenridge Vanilla Porter
Pours from bottle a deep dark brown with garnet depths, one-finger, slightly pinkish buff head that leaves some nice lacing. Nose is roast malt, caramel, slight milk chocolate. First swallow had me asking where the vanilla was, but that came through stronger after a moment. Sprightly mix with the malt and lactose, balanced again chocolate and whiff of dark fruit without becoming heavy. The selling points here are creamy mouthfeel, controlled alcohol and pleasant flavor not trying to pulverize your palate. A good session beer.

Deep heavy dark brown pour with a thin ring of light tan foam around the glass. Lovely creamy chocolate and light coffee notes fill the nose with a slight bit of hazelnut. Smooth and coffee loaded, creamy chocolaty body with a roasted nuttiness and a surprisingly quaffable, crisp finish. Chocolate and light coffee on the aftertaste.
