FatPhil	3.3 Lido Dzirnavu 500ml bottle (Lauvas Alus webshop, Riga) (5+:4:7:3:13=3.3+) Clear gold, huge persistent self-supporting tight off-white head. Lovely sweet and gently grainy aroma, almost a vanilla-like softness, some honey, like the barley's still warm, moist, and packed with sugars. Similar taste, but there's a lovely delicate bitter noble hopping too, dry and floral. Medium palate, fitting carbonation. Delicious lager. Saturday, February 24, 2024

Sweet malty aroma, light malted barley, like pulling a handful out from the moist warm malting floor. Light malty taste too, gently sweet. Lightish palate, pleasant enough for an easy quaff. From - snifter Taste - weak hops, malt, bitterness in the background, quite lasting. Nothing special but more hoppy and bitter in aftertaste then average light ones. Kind of dry. Martinsh	3.3 Lido Speciālais Bottle from Rimi, Riga (strength 4.8%, not as per Rate Beer) Not seen this in bottles before, so grabbed in when I saw it and brought it back to share with friends in the UK. Malt and toast in the nose. Pours a brownish amber with a transient white head. In the mouth there is caramel, ginger and malts together with some hoppiness. Hops come through at the finish. A nice and drinkable Vienna Lager. At the time I was also drinking Sam Adams Boston Lager (don’t ask) and had difficulty telling between the two ! Tuesday, August 6, 2019
