Murray's Old Ale
Bottle from the brewers. Bottled in 2004, this beer was showing signs of age with some cardboardy hints and madeira notes yet still had a sweetish and winey aroma, a rich, fruity, winey and malty taste with the madeira working well in this, then a sweet maltiness with some caramel, toffee and a hint of liquorice in the finish. I’d like to try this again younger, but on this evidence it;s a cracking beer!

Murray's Golden Ale
Draught in Cruzat, BsAs. A cracking little beer this, just what you need when it’s hot outside... very pale, very bitter and very refreshing with loads of resiny, sappy and leafy hops all through the flavour and finish leaving a bitter aftertaste and you wanting more - much more. Yet another excellent beer from Murrays, I could drink this one all day...

Murray's Export Scottish Ale
Draught in Cossab. A strange brew, lots of phenols and smokiness, then a toffee-malt finish and dryness. The brewers have since told me they had problems with the cooling of their fermenter leading to some of the strange tastes, but I’m just not convinced by these smokey "Scottish" beers - maybe they existed before the Industrial revolution, but who knows?

Murray's Nut Brown Ale
Draught at Cruzat, BsAs. A very complex brown ale with coffee, chocolate, tar, toasted maltiness and other dark flavours melded together. A good drinking beer with a lot of complexity for it’s ABV and yet another good Murray’s brew.

Murray's Irish Dry Stout
Draught at Cossab. A classic Irish stout, does exactly what it says on the tap! Black in colour, loads of coffee and bitterness, roast grain and smooth chocolate malt lead to a mellow finish with some spikey bitter hops alongside the burnt grains. Very accomplished - as are most of their beers.

Murray's IPA
Draught at Cossab. A classic brew; full and malty in character yet with a huge citrus blast of hops - they taste so fresh, citrussy and inviting I could almost see them! Loads of biting bitterness yet it’s not harsh - yes, this beer has huge extremes of flavour, but they are kept in check and harmonise with each other rather than clash. More citrus and lip-smacking hops in the finish which goes on for hours after you drink it - one of the finest beers I’ve had the fortune to taste.

Murray's IPA
Draught, a hazy copper with a huge off-white foamy head. A hoppy aroma with a fruity zest. Palate has a hoppy crisy and tang, just like an IPA should have. Fruity at first, but then a greater toasted malt flavour. A very good IPA, one any Yank craft brewery would be proud of.

Fukito
3.2
Murray's Nut Brown Ale
Tap at Cruzat, August 07. Clear, copper-brown color with a medium white head. Tastes of toffee, some slight coffee and chocolate notes and an acidic fruity touch. Mouthfeel is light, warming, short aftertaste. Not intrusive but not memorable either. Fruity aroma with some slight coffee and tobacco notes- Some hazelnut as well but somehow restrained. Nice, warming, approachable brown ale.

Murray's Golden Ale
Tap at Cruzat, August 07. Clear, shinny, yellow-golden color with a nicee, firm, bubbly white head. Some grassy herbal hops in the nose with some bready malts. A bit sweet upfront, then some flowery hops and a nice, malty, honeyish end. Bittersweet aftertaste. Medium to light palate, really tasty for such a light beer. A mild but enjoyable and singular blond ale.

Murray's IPA
Draft: Ordered this one from the very large local beer list at Cruzat. Very well executed, right up there with any other IPA; highly complex body and typical flavors of this style blended with a strong fragrance. Spicy, flowery and refreshing. Enjoyable from start to finish.

Murray's Export Scottish Ale
Draught at Cossab, Buenos Aires. Hazy reddish brown, minimal head. Sweet, yasty and caramelly. Medium bodied with lots of sugar diluted in water. There is a light lemony tang, but the yeast flavour is stronger. Low bitternes. Far from bad, but disappointing considering thir fantastic old ale.

Murray's Old Ale
Draught at Cossab, Buenos Aires. Clear dark ruby, creamy head. Plenty of lingonberries and roast ymalt. Dryish and gentle with a touch of yeast and oranges. Fairly clean mouthfeel. Murray's Irish Dry Stout
Draught at Cruzat Beer House, Buenos Aires. Black with minimal beige head. Fruity and roasty with plenty of licorice. Dry with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Herbally spicy and roasty. Not the bitterish crisp beer I expected, more a fruity, rounded salty one. But the flavors and the bitterness is still there.

Murray's IPA
Draught at Cruzat Beer House, Buenos Aires. Lightly hazy deep golden, minimal head. Piney hops mixed with yeast. Fairly sweet with crisp mouthfeel and medium body. Above this lies a welth of peculiar piney hops and yeast. Significant bitterness. Perhaps a bit light, but very drinkable. A memorable beer.

Murray's Old Ale
Draft - November 2006 The pint presents a deep copper color, a nice medium white head. Aroma is caramelly and some phenolics. Taste is malty, sweet, sherry like, woody. Mouthfeel is crisp and deep. Different and interesting... Re rate: Nice shinning copper/brown color small head. Woody/sherry/toffee aromas. Sherry/slightly burnt caramel flavor, deep and complex. Highly drinkable and layered. Musty/ sherry/ madeira aftertaste with a very slight alocholic warmth. Very well done old ale.

Fukito
3.2
Murray's Export Scottish Ale
Bottle - May 2006 Pours a deep amber colour whit a medium sized whte head. Aroma is very neutral, some burnt notes coming from what appears to be roasted barley. Taste is slightly malty whit some burnt notes there, no hop flavor/ aroma at all. I must say that Scottish ales really bore me appart from this one, but it is nice and to style. Very clean, but rather unimpressive (again, as I think scottish ales are).

Murray's IPA
On Tap - April 06 Pours a light copper color, almost golden with a white head after a couple of minutes diminishes itself to a small rim. Aroma is not very estrident, the usual for a IPA, citric, piney. Taste is very balanced, you can feel the cascades, but there is some malt there too. Mouthfeel is medium with nothing remarkable. Aftertaste was a bit too short. Overall a nice IPA I would gladly drink again. Rerate 27/4/2007. Beatiufll golden/ copper color nice medium creamy white head and lots of lacing. Dry and spicy with some tropical fruits touch. Excellent.
