3.7 Kulmbacher Museumsbier Bottle at Café De Pintelier, Groningen, Netherlands, Saturday 3rd October 2015 on the Bokbier challenge They were very excited to have this beer, said it was a museum special from Kulmbacher and I think it was being poured from a small wooden cask (I am saying that because that cask wasn’t on the bar yesterday) Golden in colour but malty, touch sweet perhaps and not convinced it’s a Bok but nonetheless it’s from the land of the Boks and was jolly good. Pale gold, really pale, some hops, like it. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7 Sunday, October 4, 2015

3.1 Kulmbacher Museumsbier On tap at the brewery museum. It’s a malty slightly meaty pate flavour beer. Ok but nothing special. Malt is quite characterful and there is some hop sting. Friday, January 24, 2014

Nett! 9/9/10/9//9 Tuesday, May 17, 2011

2.7 Museum Garten-Weizen Herfiger, fast aufgedrängt spritziger Antrunk. 11/8/9/8//8 Tuesday, May 17, 2011

3.2 Museum Garten-Weizen Flip-top bottle from museum gift shop. Dark orange, cloudy, with lots of bubbles. Fizzy head. Estery bananas in aroma. Bubblegum and candy. Fizzy palate. High carbonation but quaffable. Sweet, candylike concoction with a nice cardamom note. I like it. Friday, September 4, 2009

3.4 Kulmbacher Museumsbier Draft at museum cafe as well as after tour. Orange-amber, slight haze. Beautiful bright deep hue. The head does not last so long but is good. Nice bready aroma but I am getting a few phenolic whiffs. A pretty rustic smell, actually. Flavors are nice. Nuanced and has some fun, and beautiful, fresh malt flavors. Finishes dry afterward, earthy and nutty. Friday, September 4, 2009

3.3 Museum Garten-Weizen Bottle from the gift shop. Amber colour. Lots of carbonation Thin head for the style. Banana aroma explodes out of the glass. Sweet start with some fruity notes (especially pear, banana). A hint of caramel comes in, then in gets wheaty and fizzy. A tarter interpretation. Wednesday, September 2, 2009

3.7 Kulmbacher Museumsbier @ the museum in Kulmbach. You can buy in on tap at the cafe, sample it with the admission ticket in the museum, or get a bottle to go from the gift shop. Hazy dull copper. Thick head. The aroma has a toasty, slightly caramelly aroma and light hop spiciness. Earthy, caramelly malts, spicy hops in good balance and a moderate bitterness. Nice beer. 4 Kulmbacher Museumsbier Just returned from the BBM (june 27, 2007) and found their "Museums Bier" to be stellar. Pale Maerzen-copper done in the Keller bier style. Slight aoma of fresh bread and Hallertau hop. Good belgian lace (for a keller-bier). Excellent fullnes of mouth. Malt on the palate, a pinch of caramel and toast. Brewed in an all glass brewhouse. Worth seeking out Kulmbach fro the great beer city it is, the Museum for the great facility it is and this beer for the great beverage it is. Sunday, July 1, 2007

2.9 Kulmbacher Museumsbier Small, thin head, pale yellow colour. Faint aroma, primarily of pilsener and some hops. Light, malty taste, which turns fruity and hoppy towards the end. A good, refreshing pilsener, which is kind of like a piece of normally good bread: not that exciting. Interesting that they actually brew it in the museum, though. Wednesday, September 7, 2005
