A black beer with a medium beige head ; medium retention ; good lacing. Roast, toast+, ashy character, light wild flower, black chocolate notes (hard to figure out though...). Sweet note, light to medium dry acid, light bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture, average to soft gaseous, short roasted acid finish; Overall, poor. I didn't finish this bottle. A sparkling yellow clear beer with a medium white head ; medium retention ; light lacing. Light flower, grainy/herbal notes, light cardboard, leather/animal cider notes (brett?). Light acid, medium dry refreshing, light round sweet note, light bitter, a bit harsh. Light to medium body, light silky texture, good gaseous, wild finish (I don't think that was on purpose). The color is orange and brown, troubled and yeasty, normal carbonation, white foam.It is an interesting sour beer, well balanced, sourness with aromatic notes of malt, cherry and nuts, sour and smooth sensation, at the palate, some hop, fruity. The body is a deep black colour, normal carbonation, white and brown foam. Personally, I had a smooth moment with this beer, good stout, well balanced, a classical one with a good touch of roasted malt, cacao, chocolate, rather dry with hop at the final, aromatic. The body is red and brown, slightly troubled, normal carbonation, thin and white foam. I have found this smocked beer rather good, you get a dry and mineral side, smocked malt giving a side of burnt hay, bacon, side of whisky, rather discreet, some hop, not disgusting and it is a good point. Aftertaste is similar to the smoked beer they make but not as pronounced, as in barely noticeable. Aftertaste gets stronger. Dandelion finish. Friday, May 11, 2018

VDuquerroux	2.8 L'Atelier de la Bière Triple Mouture #Evolution Bottle, 33cL. Home. Poured 3/4 bottle : brown earthy hazy beer with a big white foamy head ; medium retention. With the end of the bottle... awful disgusting nauseating yeasty sediments like lumps. 7-8°C : cereal, biscuit, acid++. After 10-15 minutes : hoppy aroma (lemon, herbs). Medium to heavy dry sour, bitter and sweet note : clearly unbalanced like a lambic. Light body, thin texture, average to soft carbonation, medium lasting dry sour finish. Overall, first sip (just after pouring) was unpleasant ; clearly, better when the tasting temperature is 12-14°C and less carbonated ; finally, I appreciated this sourness with yeasty sour aroma with welcoming hoppy episodes. L’apparence est franchement pas engageante, très trouble, épaisse, on dirait un jus de pomme artisanal avec un dépôt très important, donc ne pas servir le fond de bouteille ! Le nez est franchement attrayant : on tombe sur un abricot très prononcé avec des arrières de pêche et pomme. La bouche est moins convaincante : on sent très distinctement la levure et le seigle. Les autres céréales ont du mal à équilibrer le tout. On sent des tendances acides et amères. Pas franchement fan mais reste intéressante. Friday, October 30, 2015

La bouche est dans la même gamme avec peut-être un côté acqueux pour changer. Cela sent la fumée rance. Désolé, je n’aime mais alors pas du tout et ait gouté franchement mieux dans les bières fumées. En bouche, bel équilibre entre fruit et amertume (qui reste en dominante). L’attaque vient surtout sur les fruits et va sur une jolie et longue amertume très florale. Bawelt	2.3 L'Atelier de la Bière Une inquiète Pour le coup, c’est franchement raté. Autant l’IPA et la blanche sont de jolis produits, autant pa stout est carrément loupée. Nez café caramel qui tourne vite à un mauvais mélange de fruits rouges. Croyez le ou non : à bien la sentir, on y trouverait un fond de viande genre bouillon ?! (véridique et confirmé par une connaissance). La bouche est très aqueuse. On sent un pauvre chocolat qui se détache d’un corps trop absent. Fond houblonné qui écoeure avec le côté (timide) torréfié. Une vraie IPA : en France ou en Belgique, on a tendance à jouer petits bras sur le houblon, ici pas du tout.Nez très floral/herbal. Assez fin.La bouche montre une très belle amertume ! Better than expected, although classic in appeal. Taste is fairly bitter, full mouth feel, certainly for the modest abv. Light acidic but certainly not infected. Ending is more simple.
