Metalchopz	2.7 Railway City Crew Premium Lager Clean, light golden-yellow colour with a frothy white cap, decent stay and a few bubbly lacing spots. Herbal aromas over the straw malts, with a medicinal touch. The taste is mild with the watery malts, but the hops are helping. Getting a tad sour-infection, but not enough to ruin things. Getting a little hazed near the last pour. Cereal grain lingers on the tongue. Refreshing, easy-going, just above average lager. Wednesday, January 3, 2024
Metalchopz	3.9 Railway City Elgin's Finest Wee Heavy Clean darker amber colour with a copper hue, and golden highlights. Nice creamyish, warm-beige head, good retention and some creamy lacing left. Dark fruits in aromas, caramel malts base, mild alcohol and hints of bananas, wood. The mouthfeel is not too thick with decent dryness in the finish. Nice hoppiness lingers adding a touch of bitterness. Warming, yet refreshing. Darker grain malts with a tad wheat. Quite a nicely-brewed, drinkable Wee Heavy. Wednesday, January 3, 2024

crazkanuk	3.3 Railway City Orange CreamsicAle Pours a murky gold with a decent head and modest lacing. Aromas a orange (shocker) and citrus. Taste definitely emphasizes the orange. Heavy carbonation masks some of the vanilla that brings the creamsicle flavour to life, so you really only get a taste of that in the tail and aftertaste. ccex	3.2 Railway City Juice Caboose 473ml can (from The Beer Store, Tecumseh, ON) pours an almost clear golden with average white head and lacing. Aroma has melons, wheat, grapefruit, and caramel malts. Taste ends up bitter. Body is light to medium with average carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Another ho-hum hazy IPA, even if it isn't very hazy. Thursday, March 30, 2023
ccex	2.6 Railway City Dead Elephant Ale 473ml can pours a somewhat hazy orange/brown with white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is malt-forward, with lots of caramel, but also some grapefruit and pine. Taste starts off sweet but has a bitter, somewhat boozy finish with some off-flavors in the aftertaste. Body is medium to full with average carbonation. The best part of this IPA for me is the story of how P.T. Barnum's Sudanese-born elephant died in the city of the brewery in 1885. Taste is much more grapefruit forward with some sweetness of tropical fruit in the background. Quite hoppy with medium bitterness and average carbonation. Overall not a bad IPA. Taste is somewhat sour with some citrus and lemon. Pineapple is slightly lost in the taste but some hints are there to give it a slight sweetness. czar	2.5 Railway City Playa Cerveza can that pours clear light to medium gold with a very small off-white cap offering no particular retention or lacing. pale and evident not so fresh corn (it can be really fun sometimes, but not here), underlying dried caramel malts, some cardboard, super distant lime flavours, no acidity at all as well (and it's made of juice concentrate, go figure), dusty and bland herbal hops. almost foamy carbonation, light body - watery; dry, crisp and very faint tart herbal finish. kinda crisp but this may be its only feature. poor lime and corn ale. Metalchopz	3.7 Railway City Jumbo IPA Can that pours a clean enough, golden colour with a big slight off-white, bubble-frothy head, decent retention and some mild foam lacing spots. Fresh herbal, almost minty aromas over the straw malts, and a nice blend of orange notes. The taste shows some citrus hoppiness with the fresh grassiness. Some nice dryness in the finish. It's like a juicy, not hazy, East Coast IPA with a touch of the West Coast hops. Quite an interesting blend between the fresh herbal hops, soapy hints and orange notes. Thursday, March 31, 2022

dandeman	4 Railway City Black Coal Stout Aromas of chocolate, toast, brownies and coffee. Black in color and well opaque, it develops a semi-creamy foam of moderately thin size that persists quite well. The taste is well chocolate reminiscent of brownies, toast and comes in slightly roasted bitterness that persists for several seconds. Sweet esters are present in the form of molasses and black fruits. End of mouth quite dry. Fairly round body with a slightly velvety texture. Carbonation is active for style. An excellent stout. Very bitter. Balanced. With fruity esters and a creaminess that make it extremely drinkable. Aromes de chocolat, de pain grillé, de brownies et de café. De couleur noire et bien opaque, elle développe une mousse semi-crémeuse de taille moyennement mince qui persiste assez bien. Le gout est bien chocolaté rappelant les brownies, le pain grillé et se décline en amertume légèrement torréfiée qui persiste plusieurs secondes. Les esters sucrés sont bien présents sous forme de mélasse et de fruits noirs. Fin de bouche assez sèche. Corps assez rond avec une texture légèrement veloutée. La carbonatation est active pour le style. Une excellente stout. Bien amère. Équilibrée. Avec des esters fruités et une onctuosité qui la rendent extrêmement buvable. Metalchopz	3.3 Railway City Steampunk Sour: Mixed Berry Pours a clean peach-amber colour with a frothy warm-white head, good retention and some creamy lacing notes. Berry aromas with some soapy hops. The malt fairly bready without being sweet. Creamy notes. It's a people pleaser, one for the masses. Not the type of beer a RB person would love, but I'll bet decently rated on Untapped. Metalchopz	2.3 Railway City Playa Cerveza Pours a very slight hazed, light golden colour with a white fizzy-bubbly cap not staying too long. Cereal grain malt nose. Getting a rusty water feel in the taste, that slowly dissipates with time. Mild lime flavours do come out, but not too strong, nor lasting in the mouth. Not much sourness and the salt is barely tastable. Yep, something is bugging me in the taste. Too bad, as I do like a little salt and lime in some beers. Thursday, July 22, 2021
fredthecat	3.9 Railway City Juice Caboose as people said, it is perfectly clear... i can assume its something that is built into their canning process. big white head. aroma is berries, purple grape bubblegum, watermelon. mosaic hops - i dont know how to describe them, but just... them, kind of like a fruity hard candy. jolly rancher taste. taste is somewhat harsh malt, good crystal. lemon, kiwi, pinesol, lots of fruit flavours. bitterness cuts through smoothly. mouthfeel is thick and full. high carbonation. theres a lot going on in this, and better balanced than many other hazy or nu-fruit focused IPAs. pretty refined and well thought through. would buy again.
