UM02	3.1 Granville Island Lions Winter Ale Can. Chocolate aroma. Medium brown pour. Chocolate foretaste which is fairly nice and some sweetness. However, the body is too thin to maintain the chocolate taste throughout and the finish is weak. There is an artificial flavouring feel to this also. It is not bad but this type of chocolate profile would work better in a stout with a stronger malt to support it. Monday, December 25, 2023

Mild fruity aroma of bready pale malt, grapefruit, mango and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit, pineapple, mango and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Poured a clear dark pinkish-amber with a thin layer of white dense foam that diminished quickly to a collar that didn't lace. Carbonation so low it's virtully flat. Aroma subtle, no real mango, maybe a touch of hibiscus. Taste is 'flat', no obvious mango, no real trtness. Light body, Smooth with a short finish. Monday, July 3, 2023

Poured a clouded orange-amber (looks like pineapple juice) with 1cm of bright white foam that diminished slowly to a blotchy cap that laced very well. Caarbonation low, slow and very fine. Aroma strong mixed tropical fruits. Taste strong mixed tropical fruits (lots of passionfruit) and citrus (grapefruit, orange); moderate bitterness. Smooth, crisp, clean, dry nd refreshing with a medium-length finish. Nice. Monday, July 3, 2023

Poured a slightly clouded yellow-amber with 1cm of bright white dense foam thaat diminished slowly to a blotchy cap that laced well. Carbonation virtually flat. Aroma strongly of fresh peach with slight citric tartness. Taste strong of fresh peach, lots of peach, with low to moderate tartness. Light body. cmacklin	3 Granville Island Peach Sour 355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma is dominated by peach with grainy pale malt and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, peach juice and orange in a dry, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Refreshing and crushable, but the peach seems artificial. Not sure why they are calling this a Gose when it has no wheat or salt. crazkanuk	3 Granville Island Lions Winter Ale This is an interesting beer. At first taste I would say it leans more towards a gingerbread flavour. I suppose the caramel paired with chocolate and vanilla just brought this taste out for me. I can detect each individually, but would say that combined it definitely gives a gingerbread vibe. Oakes	3.1 Granville Island Beermosa Opaque. Tart, a bit of that juicy character, certainly orange. Fairly heavy for its size. The malts aren't great otherwise, though. Not much bitterness - it's not essential in this style of course but I do think this beer would benefit from a bit more bite. Somewhat yeasty, not really in a good way. It's okay. Nose is filled with kettle sour notes, hibiscus, and subtle mango notes. Flavour is tart tropical floral candy, with a popcorn character in the finish. Flavour is simple, mild malts, and a touch of hops. Light bodied, ok carbonation, and a mild sweetness with a light bitterness. It's clean, simple, and easy drinking. mcberko	3.8 Granville Island Fumigator 650mL bottle, pours a clear chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out campfire smoke, toasted nuts, bready malt and some dry caramel. Flavour is nice and malty, with lots of caramel malt, bready notes, and rounded out with the campfire smoke. The sweetness is apparent upfront, but is nicely reined in by the smoke.
