Abbondante schiuma color crema, compatta e persistente. Al naso miele, caramello e fiori di campo. In bocca è abboccata, sentori di miele, caramello, frutta matura, esteri e lieve speziatura. mkel07	2 Maiella Emigrante Bottle from Hawthorne Cellars 140916. While Italy is not known as a craft brewing powerhouse I certainly expected more from this beer than I got. This is possibly one of the most lifeless beers that I have ever had - it was flat lining big time. I don’t think that I saw one bubble at all. Looked super murky and hazy in the glass with a dull orange colour. In the aroma department there was very little and the flavour was also pretty much non existent. KeefOz	2.1 Maiella Emigrante BB 16 06 16. Poured a murky orangey-brown colour with no head. Carbonation virtually flat with the very rare fine bubble. Aroma subtly of slightly sweet fruits plus a hint of pine. Taste initially slightly sweet then followed by slight tartness (or is it harsh bitterness). Very light bodied, nearly water-like. Crisp and smooth with a flat mouthfeel with a short, sharp bitterness on the finish. Not very enjoyable (but may taste nicer if fresher). Tuesday, July 12, 2016
KeefOz	2.4 Maiella Matthias BB 21 09 16. Poured a murky coppery-brown colour with no head; a few yeast particles settled out. Carbonation extremely low and fine. Aroma slightly of yeast plus hints of sweet fruits; no obvious hops. Taste initially of very sweet caramel toffee followed by spices and hints of alcohol; no hops bitterness; unbalanced. Light bodied, a bit thin. Smooth with a flat mouthfeel and sweet fruits on the finish. Not very enjoyable. Monday, July 11, 2016

mkel07	2.4 Maiella Matthias 200616. Bottle from Greenslopes Cellars. I’m not really sure what to make of this beer and I can see why it was selling at a reduced price. Looks very flat and lifeless in the glass with no head at all and a dull murky copper colour. The beer is lifeless in the mouth also and tastes very flat with not a lot in the way of flavour. There is a bit of toffee and butterscotch there but not much else. I had to check the best before date on the bottle to make sure that it was still within date - and it was. Just a weird beer all round and I can’t say that I enjoyed it that much. This is my first beer from this brewery and I will be interested to see what the other beer from these guys tastes like. Rune	3.1 Maiella Dea Maia 330ml bottle from Helmersens Delikatesser, Jekta. Remaining, rocky off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Hazy pale golde body. Moderate citrus and grainy malts on the nose. Mixed taste of pine, lemon and bread with moments of grapefruit shells to the ending. Easy to drink and a fine partner to the game between France and Switzerland (Watching EM football on TV, Tromsø 19.06.2016). Monday, June 20, 2016
invinoveritas	3.5 Maiella Bucefalo Pours a dirt brown with a mild head. Rich Christmas pudding aroma. Extremely rich and decadent mouthfeel - plump currants and brandy and some bitter schnapps to finish. A bit like a Christmas pudding in a glass, nicely warming. A bit heady though! Jado	2.6 Maiella Matthias 330 ml bottle. Muddy brown-orange with virtually no head and minimal carbonation. Aromas of stewed apple, flowers, honey and caramel. Sweet in the mouth at first before a pepper and orange zest note washes in. Falls off at the end but leaves a sweetish fruity aftertaste. No bad at all but a bit uneven. Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Slightly unfresh aroma of over-ripe fruits and cooked vegetables, more pleasant notes of "spicy" yeast and malts. Moderate to low level of carbonation. The flavor has some fruit (apple and quince) and mild spicy notes, less pleasant hints of unfresh malts and cooked vegetables. Not a great beer. Friday, March 11, 2016

Kjempefrisk smak med mye citron, lime og grapefrukt. Fint karbonert, god munnfølelse. Behagelig, floral bitterhet i den halvtørre avslutningen. leghorn99	3.6 Maiella Bucefalo Splendido l’aspetto: ebano scuro, con riflessi rossastri; la schiuma è poco generosa, beige, e svanisce rapidamente. Aroma molto forte, ricco di frutta "scura" (prugne, uvetta, mirtillo), pane nero, melassa, liquirizia, con leggeri sentori di alcool; buona la pulizia. In bocca il percorso prosegue senza grosse variazioni: molta frutta sotto spirito, prugne ed uva passa in una birra che ad oltre due anni dall’imbottigliamento ha assunto delle interessanti caratteristiche vinose. C’è un bell’amaro di tostatura a bilanciare, con un finale caldo, etilico e leggermente tannico. Saturday, June 27, 2015
