I truly believe that most beers can be good in the right setting. Some beers are good almost anywhere and others have to be in their special circumstance to be properly enjoyed. The proof is, I found a setting where I actually enjoyed Pabst Blue Ribbon:
I was in Georgia in Deliverance country. My friend and I had hiked five miles, got in a fight, been chased by scary guys and eventually had a PBR, served just shy of freezing in a road house. Perhaps in this situation, any beer would be good, but I prefer to believe instead that there's a perfect beer for every beer drinking opportunity. It is a truly great thing when the beer just fits.
