Nov 2016 hopscotch Just opened a care package from Martin. Beyond generous. Six super cool beers that I can’t wait to try. Sour ales, sour fruit ales, an inoculated braggot and a really cool saison. All from Quebec. All so very interesting. He also included a couple Cheval Blanc t-shirts from, well, Cheval Blanc. A Montreal craft brewery that was forging fantastic saisons long before the style became en vogue.
Sep 2016 sloth Surprise care package from Mr.T Lovely box of brews that i am quite NOT familiar with, this is for sure! I appreciate your kindness Sir. Not necessary but gladly accepted and appreciated! Will do my best to repay you someday. Thank you so much!
Dec 2012 coldbrewky My opinion of Canadians in the past has been average to a bit below average. Due to the nature of my work, I have a rather bleak look on humans from just about anywhere. MartinT on the other hand is an outstanding higher evolutionary and a great humanitarian to boot. My view of those from Quebec has been improved greatly by trading with him. So, dear readers of such drivel. You are in good hands
Nov 2012 coldbrewky Martin Mi Amigo! Merci and all that. A painstakingly packed box arrives with 2 Dieu de Ciels: 6e Soir and Charbonniere, two dunhams: ESB and The Robust porter. A Du Monde L’infusee, and a de lile De’orleans Monseigneur Stout. Thanks Man. Getting ready for round two.
Jan 2012 hopscotch Another face-to-face trade with Martin. He offered up four very nice, very rare (and surely, very expensive) ice ciders. Much appreciated and always a peasure!
Apr 2010 hopscotch Martin shipped a nice little box of beer to finish up an earlier trade. Included were bottles of Dieu du Ciel Charbonnière, Charlevoix Dominus Vobiscum Lupulus, Blue Wax Half Pints Burly Wine and Les Trois Mousquetaires S.S. Sticke Alt. A wonderful box of French Canadian beer from a wonderful trader, rater and all-around guy.
Jan 2010 hopscotch Face-to-face trade. Great seeing Martin and his lovely wife again... and meeting their new daughter. Oh, the beers? À l’Abri de la Tempête Corps Mort, Les Trois Mousquetaires G.C. Weizenbock, Les Trois Mousquetaires G.C. Baltic Porter, Simple Malt Double Porter, Simple Malt Impériale Stout, Simple Malt Scotch Ale and Simple Malt Vin d’Orge. Thanks a million, Martin
Dec 2009 coldbrewky Martin....you simply suck! A pampers box arrives whilst my contractor is at the house. He berates me not only on my poor dry-walling skills but receiving a box of diapers...until it reveals a triumvirate of dieu de ciel Peche mortel, solstice d’hiver and aphrodisiaque. Two Simple Malts: Double Porter and Impy stout, a 3 Musketeers (in French) Baltic Porter a Dominus Vobiscum Double&
May 2007 tiggmtl Martin delivers a little taste of home as well as some beers I ordered before moving that arrived after I left... MacAllen Pils, 3M Weizenbock, Bieropholie Calumet Grand Chef, Boreale Noir, Deus, Panil Brune and Cuvee Van de Keizer. Happy Friday!
Sep 2006 beastiefan2k Took me a while to finally look at the package that Martin sent me. Got the goodies I need before taking a break from trading for a bit. Also my 1st international trade. Main baby is the top rated cider, coveted Pannepot and Corne de Brune, as extra Bierophilie S. Spectacular beer and a hell of a way to step back from trading. Thanks Martin.
