all depends on the criteria used to make the list and the peoples tastes. there are some good beers on there, i don’t care about the order. it is good to see good beers being presented to the public.

No. I’d drink them all. Not a bad list, I just think the order is crazy. But again, I guess you have to consider their target audience.

I wonder how many complaint letters they’ll get saying "I’ve never heard of any of those. Where’s Bud/Miller/Coors?" 8/29/2006 12:25:01 PM

DCopperfields 144:0 I haven’had that beer and won’t till tomorrow night, but they did say that drinkablity was a big factor in their decision making process. Isn’t it good?

These lists are always really weird. I believe it was Maxim that declared Abita Turbodog the best beer in America a few years ago. I mean, they’re on the right track, but it just seems a bit random. I think they probably try to give a wide swath of brewers and styles. If I were them, I might title the list "25 great American beers you’ve probably never heard of." Of course, that doesn’t sell magazines nearly as well. I just like to hear that they are pointing people in the right direction who wouldn’t have a clue otherwise. 8/29/2006 1:15:25 PM
