dougdecinces (9), Indianapolis, Indiana does not count - explanation | | May 13, 2012 I go to both Kahn’s locations if I’m in the need for a good beer. Good collection of imports and sours. Sometimes they will let you make a custom six pack. Staff has always been willing to assist and will put beers on hold for you. They’re not ALWAYS knowledgable, but put forth effort. Average prices. | | jbrana (27), NASHVILLE, Tennessee | | May 8, 2012 The selection here is quite good, but they unfortunately sell through things very quickly. If you don’t get there right after a release, you might have to go somewhere else. Aside from that, the staff is helpful and the prices are reasonable. | | mikehanneman (13), Iowa | | February 29, 2012 I will give this place credit they shipped a case of beer from one location in Indy to the Keystone store for me. The beer was already 5 months old. I didn’t think the beer side had as much of a selection as I was lead to think by the beer distributor. Huge humidor and it looked like a good size selection for wine. Be ready to pay 10 to 20% more for your beer here though. | | ryanfolty (104), Minneapolis, Minnesota | | January 30, 2012 Stopped in today and thought they had a nice selection. Quite a bit of stuff from The Bruery, which I can’t get in MN. A lot of Bells and Goose Island beer that you can find anywhere though. Nice selection of singles as well. A little out of the way from downtown, but a nice place to go if you are a bit north. | bluejacket74 (4), Reynoldsburg, Ohio does not count - explanation | | October 19, 2011 I stopped in Kahn’s passing through Indy this past weekend, and I was pretty impressed. They have a big selection of American craft, import craft and macro beers in general. The beer was on the left side of the store, as they also sell wine and spirits there. They had beer stored both on shelves and in coolers. Everyone I talked to on the staff was nice and all asked if I had any questions and were all willing to help. When I was checking out I remembered there was one beer I was looking for and didn’t see it in the coolers so I asked if they had any available. I don’t know who it was that I talked to there, but they remembered that they just got a shipment in from their distributor earlier that day and went in the back to check, and grabbed me a 6-pack when he found out it was one of the beers they just received. The prices all seemed fair to me, and the craft selection was impressive as I found a lot of brews I was looking for and some interesting ones I had never seen before. I’ll definitely stop back in the next time I’m in the area. | | SudsMcDuff (112), .....Manchester United.........., Texas | | September 21, 2011 ordered once, trying to do 2 but certain things stopped that .. . an ok selection, was able to get everything i wanted in one big order .. not sure if the still ship but it wasn’t the easiest .. better shipping stores out there.. | | JoePeesie (63), Long Lake, Illinois | | August 29, 2011 This is my go to bottle shop when I am in Indy. They have a great selection of singles that I cannot find in IL. In talking to my Craft buddies in the area if its not the top bottle shop in town, its in the conversation. The only knock (and I have not shopped their real competition- bottle shops with comp. selection) is that they are a touch pricey. | | AguynamedTodd (75), Illinois | | August 28, 2011 Place is located a distance from the interstate corridor, so be prepared to stop at several lights along Keystone. The store has a nice selection of cold and warm beers. Service was very good. Wanted a case of Southern Tier Oak Aged Unearthly. All they had was the loose beer in the cooler. They checked in back before casing all the loose beer in the cooler and then brought it up to the front for me. I always go to this store when I’m in Indy. Note: will probably change this comment and add more details when I visit the next time. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | August 26, 2011 Stopped by here after a quick trip to upland, do them jointly. Wharehouse style format, staff was helpful, I got asked several times if I needed help. Lots of 6 packs including all 3F fresh and easy to get, lots of Sun King too. Had lots of normally 6 pack beers as singles so there is plenty to tick. Worth stopping by. Price was pretty good, but the 3f was the same price as Chicago so that blows. | | john_hively (10), Fisher, Indiana | | July 2, 2011 Great selection at a not so great price. Some of the beers here will blow your mind, even to the biggest beer geek. But compared to some of the other stores in the city, in particularly Crown Liquors, their prices are definitely a bit higher. In some cases, a lot higher. |
