“The Flying Saucer in Cypress Waters is small compared to the other Saucers I’ve been to. Two hour parking in front, free. Seems to be in a complex with apartments and businesses. Sits on the water of a big lake. Three bartenders and the very informational. Radio playing a verity of music. 100 beers here. Beer club here. Souvenir shirts here. Dim lighting and big windows .They run specials almost everyday. Nice place to grab beer. Food here too! Cheers!“

“$15 cab from downtown Dallas, so come with dinner plans. A few aisles of beer right as you enter, categorized by local, region & then by style. Coolers line the back & right. Sizable bar in the front left corner with communal seating for twenty facing it. Felt awkward to lean on the bar so I sat near a couple, awkwardly, after doing some shelf perusing. Tap list was mostly excellent, with Alesmith, Maine & Great Notion doubled up taps & everything else was local but varied in style. Taster or pint pours, starting at $2.50-$6. Locally, it was occasionally a better deal to grab a pounder out of the cooler & eat the $2 cork fee. Owner liked that I grabbed a new local saison-ish can that didn't suck from Vector. The bartenders were young girls who were more into their phone till the place got busier, which was about a ten people at 6pm. They boxed up my prizes nicely & the bill hurt less than what I expected. No buy backs on this trip. Not a ton of options for bottle shops in or around Dallas but this is one of them. Prices are mostly reasonably, cheaper than Lonestar but a toss-up on selection. This has more local juice. Singles of everything. A few meads, a nice French cider & some local trash cider were nice surprises.“

“40 taps, no flights, overpriced. Sure, get a couple new ticks, but generally nothing very interesting, and full $10usd+ pint pours. Meh. Food is garbage. Service not much better.“

“Off side street from Industrial/Irving Blvd area. Close to Celestial also. Usually has a strong selection of high ABV beers and does some good work in that regard. Just recently started canning during Covid so can find their stuff at TW, etc. good fun place“

“I've reviewed this place before. Not sure why it's not coming up. Multi-tiered shipping container sort of place, not a whole lot of individual seating if you're coming alone. Games on the top floor, middle floor is thin with the bar(no seating) & a couple tables in the corner, entry level is more picnic tables, a couple chairs in the corner & the store. Some standing tables outside in front of the parking if it isn't raining. They have this onion burger food truck that visits & it's dope. No real food inside. Beers are solid, with a few misses & a great pour now & again. They like to do casks & many variants of the same base. About $3-$4 a 5oz, or $6-8 for a full pour. Bartenders are chatty about their beer. Place gets insanely loud & echo-y when crowded. You can actually walk here if you're in a nearby hotel. Solid.“

“It looks like an old bank but it's actually an old department store I've heard. Black & white & bronze. Tiny courtyard. Okay to good beer, a great beer now & again. Had an amazing champagne barleywine here in January. Biggest plus is that they're open early, late & almost every day. Prices are reasonable, if slightly affordable for the area. Bit of a local artist hangout when it's slow. Bring your own food.“

“This place is already closing because of the sky high rents but it's one of the few places to grab a craft adjacent pint aside from the brewery down the block. AT&T Square, almost never closed, huge amount of seating around a four-sided wood bar, serves okay Applebee's inspired bar food, was kinda cheap for the neighborhood. Half the taps are static stuff you see around town, then some smaller distro to fill in the gaps. Struggled a tiny bit finding something I was actually curious about. Survived the last snowstorm camping out here. I hope it becomes an Olive Garden. “

“Unassuming diner look from the front, very open beer hall concept inside. Big L of a bar backside, with multiple servers. A bit too many kids, but the bartenders were understanding & offered lots of tasters, beer geekdom & camaraderie. Creative adjunct & saison adjacent beers were surprisingly good to excellent. Really some of the best locally made beers I've had. I think I ran the table then took some off the menu bottles home of the basic stuff & wasn't as impressed. Sad I missed the Japanese Elvis impersonator, but he's semi regular I've heard. “

“They transitioned into a full brewery recently. Same space, but one set of double doors opens awkwardly to the tanks, wet floor & hosing to carefully skip through. All the bartenders are on the younger side, all like angst-y/whiny alt metal & play it too loud. None of their own beers were great, but some were okay, a couple basic styles were just made wrong. Guest taps are obviously less now but still worth looking into. Didn't try any of the food, as I was trying to form my exit strategy by the middle of the first flight. Pricing was on the middle high side but I was free to ask for tasters of anything. Next time I'm west of downtown I would just splurge & just go to the Moth.“

“located in the medical district, this place looks like a converted garage redecorated by someone who is into space as well as 70's era David Bowie. no parking lot but there's street parking which is fine as long as you don't block the entrance to a garage. Has the feel of a neighbor hood bar except one that happens to have a taco truck in the back. Beers are heavy on Hazy IPA's which I happen to be a big fan of and many of there's were quite good. and they also have soft serve ice cream machine to bribe the kids with. Also something very cool is they sell cans individually which I appreciate. Definitely will revisit when I'm next in the area.“

“Tap room plus the brewery building encompass an entire city block in a sort of dead spot just a sprint from the pissy smell of downtown. Picnic tables inside & out, though the inside ones are old, shellacked bowling lanes! Exposed Hvac & a sizable indoor stage. 90s gen Y radio. Twenty or so taps depending on the day, 8 or so are not in distro & you should get those ticks. Brew gear behind the bar, but there's enough airflow & AC to not smell or sweat much. Simple pub fried food & such on the menu, it's affordable. $12.99 flights of four, but half pints are nicely priced at $3-4 across the board. Zero dark brews during the summer sadly: ipas, some fruit, a saison, a mild. It just means we drink a little deeper. Cheers.“

“Located in a warehouse light industrial area. Parking lot seemed like it may fill up on a busy night. Large deck in front of the building as you approach, with 10 tables. The interior is a few sub-divided rooms with a long bar in the back. Overall very much a laid back, warehouse vibe. Beer selection is 20 house beers. No food, though there was a food truck the night I visited. Service was efficient and friendly. Good crowd, having fun playing Indiana Jones trivia. (Locals should check it out, visitors who are in the area) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on a Wednesday evening. Bigger place, located in the corner of a well worn strip mall. Plenty of parking. As you approach the brewery, there is a large outdoor patio to your left, and the brewery itself to the right. Inside, there is a counter to order food and next to it the spot at the bar to order beers. 10 seats at the inverted L shaped bar, along with high tops and a bunch of tables in the bigger room. The bar area was 21+ which I hadn’t seen previously, Beer selection is 8 house beers, guest ciders, a guest mead and a collaboration. All available as tasters, half and full pours along with several beers available to go in the cooler. I had a foeder beer and a mixed culture beer, so they are doing some interesting brewing here. Service was friendly and attentive, I didn't eat but the pizza smelled delicious. (Locals should check it out, visitors who are in the area) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on a late Thursday afternoon prior to a flight. On Rotation is located directly next to Dallas Love Airport, on the Northern perimeter. Easy to find, with plenty of parking in the lot in front. New building, with a large multi level patio out front. The interior has a bar, as well tables in a medium sized room, with a couple small off to the side areas. The brewery is visible immediately behind the bar. Beer selection is quite extensive with 8 house beers and over 50 beers total. Half or full pours available, seemed to be tasters as well, though not on the menu. To go options include some cans, and growlers. Guest tap list was nice, pretty much all local craft. Order at the bar both food and beer. The food menu was straightforward and the grilled cheese I had was tasty. Really good option for right before or after a flight. (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Original Review: May 23. Revised Nov 23. Years later, old reviews speak the same. Big storefront, mural on the side, worn paint out front, red picnic tables as well. Sad ambiance directly outside, trashy neighborhood, but solid food. Big dive bar inside, lots of tabletops. Weird leather fans, silent music & very alt music videos on the tube. More bar room devoted to mixed drinks than beer, but the chalkboard screams old school Belgians & locals. Quiet mix of trance/dance & whatever music Sort of n unhealthy obsession with The Smiths. Dead empty on a Thursday. Had a saison Dupont & a few other classics before moving on to a few interesting locals. Okay prices, cheap for the area, pour whatever size you want. Two bartenders on in the middle of a slow week. Very friendly, all about good beer. Spanish food was solid, borderline good. They're open till 2am & start to get busy around 10 once the breweries say goodnight. Great place.“

“The OG Deep Ellum spot, but kind of tired at this point. Grungy interior, with lots of communal tables. A dozen or so taps, with lots of IPAs — real and hazy. Flights of 4 available for $15 plus tax, rather spendy. I’d had many of their IPAs at local festivals, so their taplist really wasn’t very interesting. Pleasant enough place but the place seems to have outlived itself in terms of relevance.“

“Very low-quality cider in general — avoid when in Deep Ellum. They’re located in a little communal space, with maybe a dozen or so seats. Small batch, but they apparently send their ciders around Texas. Flights of 4 or 6 available for $12 or $15 plus tax. The base cider is pretty good — a dry-fermented cider with champagne yeast. The rest are commercial, adjunct-laden garbage. Service is friendly but ignorant and bullshitty. Garbage place.“

“In the heart of Deep Ellum, this is a cool spot. Large space, with a warehouse-like feel. They had a dozen taps, with flights of 4 available for $13 (incl tax). Service was very friendly and competent. Beer quality was middling at best: I liked their oatmeal stout, but many of their other beers were pretty weak and/or suggestive that they really didn’t know what they were doing (e.g., the very uncoordinated barley wine). Not worth visiting unless you’re stuck in the neighbourhood and/or wanting to tick in the area.“

“One of the OG Dallas breweries, as I understand it. The place is cool, spread out over several floors, with plenty of bar standing room opposite the main bar. They had over a dozen taps, with many high ABV styles. Flights of 4 or 6 available for a pretty low relative price. Beer quality was pretty meh, with a couple decent ones, but the higher ABV ones seemed like they hadn’t been dialed in quite right. Despite some of their high scoring beers on the site, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend a stop.“

“What a bar. I visited on a Tuesday night, and it just so happened that they had 10 Tilquin draft-only lambics on tap!! Damn, what a treat. They have regular flights of 4 for $20 plus tax, and for this special occasion, they had Tilquin flights for $25 plus tax. The place itself is beautifully designed and the service is top-notch. What a Texan gem. Highly recommended -- one of the top bars I've visited in the US.“

“Very swanky place, with an upscale feel to the interior. Flights available, so I went tried 4 beers and sampled 2 more. All were competently good, but not stood out as excellent. “What a great spot. It's in a smaller space close to the centre, with plenty of street parking. They had 13 taps when I visited, with flights of 3 x 4 oz pours, priced per beer. They had lots of hazies, but also a west coast IIPA and 3 imperial stouts when I visited, which was nice to see. Beer quality was generally very good, and the service was friendly, informative, generous and hospitable. I really liked this place Highly recommended visit when in Dallas.“

“Huge place in a nice area, just off the highway. There's an enormous interior and tons of outside tables as well. Close to 20 taps, with flights of 4 available for $12 (after tax). Beer quality is very good. I tried 9 beers, and all but the hazy were good to great. They particularly know what they're doing with hop-forward beers (other than hazies). Friendly service and very comfortable environment. Highly recommended to hit when in Dallas.“

“Pure sports bar in the center of tourist trap Deep Ellum. Too much space, music is always loud, two levels, even larger covered dirt backyard with a grotesque 8ft chandelier. Cool glass mural right above the bar. Security all day everyday. 99 taps on a large handing chalkboard hanging in the rear. Lots of local & big craft staples, some smaller seasonals, nothing super rare, but no obvious crap aside from several wines, kombucha & a couple radlers. Bartenders seem pretty chill, let you try stuff, but are obviously in a rush. Prices are fair, flights seemed difficult to process in the given atmosphere, no half pours either. Had several shit beers/ciders locally, so this might be your best option. Okay stop if you can split a few ticks before going to Pecan Lodge for bbq.“

“Stopped here after a very meh visit to Trinity Cider. Huge place, picnic seating inside & out. They were setting up for a Halloween party with uplighting, streamers & a projector. Lots of staff, lots of concrete, bar in the back, clear window to stare at the tanks. Couple dozen taps, some basic pub food I didn't partake in. They had a cider & a perry on tap, some saisons, some strong ales. I didn't enjoy anything. Staff was very helpful & friendly, the evening event looked like it was going to be seriously crowded. $5-8 full pints, sampler flight was pretty affordable. Place was alright, but I wasn't a fan of the beer quality.“

“This is a cool place I want to like more. Dark, woody, stone, medieval, a back room for live music that spills out to the main area. Long bar on the right side front to back. Library of spirits with a rolling ladder against the right wall behind the bar. Deep Ellum has food everywhere, but this pub is more gastro than beer pub. Amazingly appetizing options on the menu like slow simmered & charred octopus plus eggs Benedict over latkes. Ber list was around 7-9 brews, some unique, but nothing was obviously good. SO much selection in the area already. Had a margarita gose that was super oxidized. More of a cocktail bar with spooky medieval ambiance. Prices were iffy for the drinks, but they took great care on the cocktails. Brunch was till 4pm & you could mix n match with the regular menu. Great cocktail restaurant, iffy for beer.“

“Odd place in tourist trap Deep Ellum. IN the middle of a communal space, block-long awning covering outdoor seating, the actual place is quite narrow, following the flow of a long front to back bar. Three tanks behind that, super crazy when I arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday. It's on the batchelorette, beer bus tour map & we never had more than 15 minutes between groups. Seven taps, flights come in six. They do a ton of cider sake bombs for the tours. Ordered the watermelon-boob cider plus the flight by default. Bartender was super friendly, very girl next door & genuine, but really didn't know anything about the ciders beyond the descriptions. $15 for a sixer of samples sounded like a good deal till I actually had them. No food, but bbq & plenty more local. Ambiance is actually nice & cozy if you already have Covid. Grab a place at the back corner or outside if it's crowded. Cheap rates, but barely any of it was palatable.“

“Open before 5pm for some day drinking. On the corner in a sort of dead part of town, walled in, has it's own atmosphere. Brewery garage open to the street, next to it, the actual doors. Pretty pastel colored folding chairs on a gray & white wall base. Extra cute splash art glazed bartop. Windows on the front back but not side of the space. Small-ish bar in the corner, plenty of seating, backyard is big, like 10 picnic tables plus open concrete, maybe the last reviewer came here after dark. Only one tv, playing The Office on mute. I would say that's one tv too many. Not the most comfortable sitting on folding chairs, but I have plenty of elbow room. Creepy turquoise hand art in the corner that double as seats. Thirteen taps, IPAs, sours, smoothies, impy everything, nothing wild. Full pours or 8oz x3 flights. No one in this town will do a half pour, so this is great. Bartender knew her shit well enough to make solid recommendations. $5-8 full pours. Strong, fresh flavors, but didn't see anything delicate on the menu. Nothing was less than pretty good. Very chill before 6pm on a Thursday. Assuming it gets stupid crowded because it has a good location & is cute. Would be a regular if it were closer to North Dallas.“

“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Small crowd, not a lot of indoor or outdoor seating. All street parking, not in the best area, worth checking out. Lots of hazy IPA's, and a few other choices. “Pleasant spot in the heart of Dallas' Deep Ellum neighbourhood with a sizeable patio. About 8 ciders available when I visited and mosy were of the gimmicky flavoured variety, often with no apple character whatsoever. Quality was mediocre at best, but you could get a flight of six to get it over with faster. It might be novel to have cider from Texas, but there is little else here aside from the novelty.“

“Visited late March while visiting a friend in the area. Like a couple other breweries, I don't think we stayed long because it was super busy or had a big event going on... for some reason I didn't rate many beers. Maybe they didn't do flights or samples or something, which would have pissed me off and caused me to leave. But honestly, I don't remember. Much different than the previous Dallas area brewpubs we hit, this was a big warehouse place. In a strip mall, I think? Huge open space, sheet metal and wood everywhere. Not so much hipster BS and wall art and goofy shit hanging from the ceiling, etc. Big place, people were nice, beer was just okay. I may pop back in if I'm in the area, but it didn't blow me away.“

“Visted late March 2019 while visiting a friend. For whatever reason, we didn't stay here long. I think it was super packed and/or there was an event going on, so we split. Cool place - sort of a mix of indoor and outdoor, which is great when the weather is nice. Hipster place, full of goofy art, shit hanging from the ceilings, etc. It was busy, but the staff tried their best to get me served. Beer was okay, but I think we only had one each and split. I'd try it again if in the area. Just seems to be the "hip" or "famous" place in town and nobody likes that. Haha.“
