“Pretty large, industrial like, bar. Not really crowded while visiting. Interesting beer menu. Looked quite new at the time. Staff was young and distant. (18-9-2021).“

“Brewdog Bar located at the heart of Wiesbaden. Stylish industrial design. Lots of beers on tap, godd mixture of own and guest beers. I like their Burgers, staff was very friendly and has a good knowledge about beer. Alwas take a look at the opening times on the website.“

“Beautiful location. Just a beer on the terrace on a saturday afternoon. Not all Andechser beers on the menu, pretty unprofessional. Service quite uninterested and pushy. I expected more. At least all Andechser beers available. A place like that should bring much more. (9-2021).“

“A bit hidden in an office park complex. This is not the brewery! But the office where the brewer works. You can stop by there Mo-Fr from 9-18 to pick up his beers. Cash or card is possible.“

“Big brew-restaurant near Mainz. Bavarian style, both the ambiance, the beers and the food. Beers were OK, (Helles, Marzen, Dunke, and Weiss). Food was OK too. Very good service.“

“Visited later on in the afternoon while the rest of my group went to the Christmas Market that was right in front of the shop. There are a few tables in front of the store for outside seating, and maybe eight tables inside. All the beers here seem to focus on Belgian origin, but I did find a cool beer from De Molen. Prices are more than fair. Really friendly ladies working. We had a bit of a language barrier, but we made it through. With family living nearby, I will be sure to make this a regular stop when I visit Germany.“

“A nice German brewery just outside of Frankfurt on our way to Luxembourg. We sat inside at wooden tables alongside wooden walls, though the place had an airy feel given the lighter wood. You enter with the copper brew kettles on the right, a lovely site. We had great German comfort food and tried two of the three house beers available, opting to grab the third in a bottle for later. Good beer, great food, great atmosphere.“

“Beer garden inside a Kleingarten area. A little off from the city center. 10-15mins by bicycle or take Bus Number 3. They serve two beers which are contact brewed for them at Kesselring. They do serve aswell a local Apfelwein from Wiesbaden. Good beer garden food, I had a sausage with Handkäs (local cheese specialty).“

Trink Gut (Beer Store)
HAGENAUER STR. 27
“Trinkgut is a chain of drink supermarkets. This one is based in the industrial shopping area in Wiesbaden with loads of other stores around. Parking outside available. The assortment is mainly common german beers. For German customers not anything special but for foreigners a good selection. Different styles, single bottle pick-up, loads of applewine aswell. All in all okay and good to restock on some all time classic as Hefeweizen or a crate of Augustiner for example.“

“UPDATE2020:!!! NEW OWNERS SINCE 2019 WITH LESS BEERS ON OFFER. Belgian beer cafe in the heart of Wiesbaden. As Wiesbaden is more or less dead place concerning beers this place is awesome. 5min busride form central station or a smooth 15min walk. Cafe is split in to two locations along a passage, one with outdoor sitting infront of a big church. Huge selection of belgian beers, all of the big names. Also some great special beers available like Westvleteren, different lambics form Cantillon, 3F, Boon, limited editions from Struise. The owner knows his business very well, so you can ask him almost everything and he will gladly help you. Food menu is great and you get quality for a great prices. Try the belgian fries with some homemade sauces or a sandwich with trappist cheese. You can also buy bottles to go. Beer prices are bit higher, but for what you get offered still great considering not many places get beers like he does here in Germany. The beers are worth the money aswell.“

“Visited Saturady evening, so it was really packed. They have about 10-12 different craft beers. Some Brewdog, Hanscraft Backbone Splitter, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Sierra nevada Torpedo, Braukunstkeller Amarsi. The prices for the beers ranging between 5-9€, so pretty expensive. The food however is excellent, really good burgers. Service was good and well organized.“

“An ideal location in the the middle of Wiesbaden, but it’s easy to miss. You have to go downstairs to a level beneath a governmental building to find it, but once there the ambiance is worth seeking out. Very traditional beer hall feel, but with above average service and food. The beers are to style.“

“Located in the middle of Wiesbaden. Has a bit of a German beer hall feel.Service is friendly and prompt. There is a good selection on the menu to choose from. There is not a large selection of beers, but you can’t go wrong with Andechser beers. Worth checking out.“

“We visited this restaurant on 15.9.2013. This restaurant is owned by the Andechs monastery/brewery and therefore is characterized by a typical bavarian/monastery style. You can see many pictures of the monastery and the vault is very beautiful. Also food is typical bavarian (Schweinshaxe, ...), we had only Weisswürste, which were good. They serve 6 Andechser beers on draft, that’s the main reason why you should come here. We had the Helles, the Bergbock Hell, Weissbier helld and dunkel and the Doppelbock Dunkel, all very delicious.  “

“Like a lot of place in Germany, the selection is not huge in terms of numbers, but Andechser makes great stuff and they have all of it here. Good German food, friendly service, nice location in the main town square overlooking the Cathedral. Good place.“

“Have a paid a few visits here both on summers evenings spent in the large beer garden. On each occasion we took a taxi from the centre of Mainz, from memory no more than abour E12 and a 10 minute ride over the river. Large outside garden, didn’t spend any time in the pub but it looked pleasant enough. Moderately busy on both visits, all locals I guess, family groups and couples. Beers were decent and the food was very good - haxes all round. Service was attentive, we didn’t go with empty glasses for long and they serve a round of Schnapps on the house when you ask for the bill. Well worth heading out to from Mainz.“

“Visited this pub 1/10-2012. Larger brewpub a bit outside the city cemter. Has a large parking space just outside. We came by a monday for lunch and it was very busy. Very much decoration, related to music, hunting and off course brewing, but it all gave it a very cozy atmosphere. Seemed very authentic, using good stuff for beer and food, and a very friendly staff. We had 3 regular beers and a season one.“

“We did a daytrip from Frankfurt just to find this place. The place itself is spacey and has a nice patio. Unfortunately, the beers are just average. Having visited the place, I wouldn’t make the 30min walk from Mainz HBF again.“

“It’s a modern looking place, more of an eatery for families than a brewery. They have 3 beers of poor quality, one of which (Dunkel) is infected, while the Weisse is the best one they have. I tried some food and it was just ok.“

Trink Gut (Beer Store)
HAGENAUER STR. 27
“Trink Gut is a chain of drink supermarkets. This one popped up not too far from my home so I stopped in one day not expecting much. I walked out with 2 cases of beer I never had. And I skipped 2 aisles. The beer is divided into sections for each of the styles they carry. Alts, Weizens, Pils, etc. And there is a boatload of beer. Their housebrand is Traugott Simon which is not too awful. All Andechser is available here. An amazing selection of beer overall. You will definitely find something to drink.“

“Located about 2 minutes from my hotel, we stopped by for something to eat. The food was excellent and the service was good too except when they got fairly busy. The beer was well made and tasty. Wish there were more styles but definitely a place to stop in if you’re in the area of Mainz-Kastel.“
