| 68 /100 Slijterij Wijnhandel "De Gulden Hoeck" (Beer Store) RIJKSWEG 11 “We visited here Saturday 2nd October 2021, it's practically next door to the Gulpener bottle shop and the Westvleteren crate outside made me curious enough to venture inside.
It's at the western edge of the village/town, so Masstricht side, there is free parking 300 metres or so off to the left, just follow the signs, the parking is just past the water mill pancake house restaurant.
It's a nice shop with a really good focus on wines and spirits, but a decent selection of Belgian and Dutch beers mostly located towards the back. Nothing out of the ordinary when I visited and I suspect that the wide range of Gulpener might be a little cheaper next door, but the usual Trappist beers are here, though I didn't see Westvleteren. I guess that it's worth poking your head around the door if you want to stock up on some Belgian beers.

| 80 /100 RIJKSWEG 16 “We visited here *well actually the bottle shop that others mention which is actually on the opposite side of the road, Saturday 2nd October 2021. It's super easy to find, it's on the main road at the Masstricht (western end of the village/town) there is free parking about 300-400 metres away off to the left, follow the signs.
This is a great little shop, I guess that there are 12-15 of their beers available including the Eisbok. However it's the incredible amount of merchandise that amazed me, there is everything crammed in here, T-shirts, hoodies, cycling jerseys, wooden chopping boards, glassware, bottle openers, I really could go on and on.
The prices were very reasonable, the person serving us, a young lad was really friendly and helpful. It's only tiny but it's a real treasure trove of a place.“ |

This place has basically every product, tons of taps and a stocked gift shop. Super modern and hip. Prices are fair, food wasn’t very good, but it’s a classy joint with appeal.“ |

The place also have a bottle shop/homebrew supply store that is credit card only. The prices are quite high at the bar, but the bottle shop is not pricey at all. Service is kind. Highly recommended if you are nearby.“ |

It’s just for the people who take a tour through the brewery. You are welcommed with a slice of ’vlaai’ (a limburg specialty) and a cup of coffee, after wich the guide starts his story about the Gulpener brewery. A most passionate guide who can go on endlessly about his favorite beer. After the tour you come back here to taste some of the breweries work in a room in wich you are surrounded with al their different beers and the many prices they got for their beers. Great place to go.“ |

It hasn’t got the styled look wich more and more breweries are looking for, but it’s sa somewhat old fashioned brewery, wich gives it character. Great guide on the tour trough the brewery. A man with a lot of passion for his work who can talk endlessly about his beloved beer. You get to see everything, taste a unique beer. I would recommend a tour through this brewery to anyone.“ |

Other choices in beer where decent saw some smaller breweries, but there arent that many beers.

Nice place with some nice and fresh beers.

| 78 /100 MARKT 4 “Nice pub in the center of Gulpen, a small town that is known for the Gulpener brewery. Located at the central square of the town with a nice patio. Predominantly Gulpener brews, the pilsener on draft comes directly from the brewery via a long copper tube. But most important for this pub is that is one of the few places where you can get Mestreechs Aajt, the Sour Ale that is made here in big oak barrels and is served on draft (very nice). The bartender was kind enough to give me a short tour when he saw i was interested. Nice place!“ |
