Aroma is lovely with black currants, dark berries, toasted coconut, very roasted, chocolate, coffee, actually it smells barrel aged with coconut and vanilla, cocoa, mave even a woody hint. Taste is a bit of a let down after that amazing aroma. Hard roast, tending towards the sour roastiness, cocoa, sour dough, coffee, bready, hoppy in the finish. Ends sourish hoppy.

chuwy (55) - JAPAN - DEC 17, 2011on tap im devilcraft, Tokyo. part of their maui brewing event.
Oatmeal stout?
Lovely aroma to this, roast and chocolate i the nose.
Again bodywise, she is a tad thin. A maui brewpub trait?
Reasonable roast flavors mixing with a large amount of coca and chocolate. A bit strong on the cocoa, flavour wise for me. Slightly over carbed too.
Otherwise it’s a very drinkable albeit tin bodied beer.
