This English-style barleywine ale uses floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and is aged in 10-15 year-old, single use bourbon barrels for 16 months to bring you a complex and subtle craft beer flavor experience. We brewed this to celebrate brewing our 7000th brew, and we look forward to sharing it with you, our craft beer family. “Barleywine Is Life.” – VWP Down & Dirty: Maris Otter Pale and Carafa 2 Special malts with White Wheat and Magnum and US Goldings hops. UPDATED: MAY 15, 2024 Барливайн какой и должен быть. Изумительно тонкий карамельный аромат, который лишь на йоту касается бочки и бурбона. Вкус умеренный, слегка маслянистый и ликерный. Снова карамель в стиле слегка жаренная, немного в леденец отдает на глотке. Послевкусие сладкое, с деревом и благородным бурбоном. Очень комплексно и сбалансированно. Идеальный представитель стиля.

Caramel, nuts, wood. Bitter and sweet. Great BW and great start at MBCC.

Taste: Moderately sweet and mildly bitter, huge toffee, barley, dried dark fruits, raisins, bourbon, caramel, and brown sugar
Mouthfeel: Smooth velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation
Overall: Nice barley wine 😋

Sweet dark roast malts, molasses, caramel, oak, bourbon, soft carb, full bod. Outstanding, rich, balanced, heavy. Bottle at Craft Beer Junction, London.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2024 Waxed bomber. A year since bottling. Aroma has notes of toffee, sherry, barrel, nuts, Worcestershire, cashew brittle. Pours hazy brown with a half finger beige head that falls into a ring after a minute. Taste is bittersweet and slightly savory with flavors like the aroma descriptors. Maybe the best one of these Fremont barleywines I’ve had.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2024 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a fleeting white head. Carmel, chocolate, and caramel bouquet. Carmels, bourbon, vanilla, oak, and chocolate dominate. Insanely good. Great body and mouthfeel. Another gem from the Jet City crew.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2024 Pours dark chocolate with a thin buff head. Aroma gives tart stonefruit, bourbon, citrus, caramel, toffee. Flavor adds bourbon, tart stone and citrus fruit, caramel, toffee, a hint of vanilla. Texture furnishes good body and peppy fizz. Keep on brewin'.
