UPDATED: JAN 29, 2024 Cask at The Justice Mill, Aberdeen. Surprised I haven't rated this before! It pours clear deep brown with a thick, beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, toasted nut, brown bread, toffee and fruit cake. The taste is dry, woody, quite nutty, walnut, earthy, dusty, leather, some astringency, spice and dried fruits. Finish has a slight astringent, nutty vibe. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Fairly robust and with some decent character to it. I am not a huge fan of the finish though, which doesn't leave a great taste in the mouth.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2023 Lime and a little rust. Pours golden with ok head. Light tangy finish. You get what you came for here. Cask.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2023 Decent drink. Nice fruity aroma and taste with a nice maltiness thrown in. Slight caramel finish but enjoyable. Smooth, creamy and easy drinking session ale even at the abv

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2022 From recently unearthed notes, drank December 2018. Cask at the Spanish Galleon, Blackheath. Reddish amber pour with a beige head. Aromas of red fruit, nuts. Flavours of red fruit, sweet malt, touch of caramel. Long malt laden finish.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2022 Pint from the cask at the Lamplighter, St Helier, Jersey. Pours amber with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, caramel, toffee & malt. Moderate body. Moderate bitter finish. Enjoyable

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2021 Fat på John Scotts. Bärnstensfärgad med luftigt smutsvitt skum. Brödig och besk med inslag av citrus i både smak och doft.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2021 Chestnut brown on pour, with a small off-white head. Dry, caramel and Malt flavours with rich fruit bitterness at the end.

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford in 2013. Clear deep copper with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, rye and dried fruit. Biscuity malt, caramel and herbal flavours. Finish is a tad metallic.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2019 Cask @ The George, Lontoo. Kaatuu lasiin kuparisena ja kirkkaana, vaahto on hyvin tiivis. Tuoksu on pähkinäinen ja karamellinen, kuten tyylille sopiikin. Maku on hyvin pähkinäinen, hedelmääkin on reilusti, puuta myös, ja vähän sokeria ja marjaisuutta. Suutntuma on kevyen katkeroinen, kuohkea ja makeahko. Makeahko olut sopii hyvin caskiin, pehmeys ja tasapaino kunnossa.
