COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In addition to iconic Anniversary Ale components such as Double DBA, Brava, and Velvet Merkin, XXVII also incorporates newer elements in the form of two small-batch collabs, Dividing Time and Rip This Joint. The result is an impossibly complex blend loaded with bourbon-accented flavors of bittersweet chocolate, vanilla and dark roast coffee.

bb (17020) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 15, 2024
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2024 Bottle. Blackish beer with a tan head. Bourbon aroma with malt, caramel, light chocolate, and a very light wheat note. Chocolate and bourbon flavors with caramel, light coffee, and light dark fruits. Medium-plus bodied. Bourbon and chocolate linger with caramel, light toffee, light chocolate, light vanilla, and light oak. I always look forward to the FW anniversary beers, but this one is a step below previous releases for me. Still good, but not one of the best beers of the year.
