Taste: Roasted, bitter chocholate, some bitterness and acidity in the end. A bit watery mouth feel. Overall: A nice dark and roasted stout not so much fuzz.

Smell of roasted malt with a little peat. Taste of a milky coffee with a stronger but agreeable bitterness.
A nice drink.

Goldbarren (5525) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - OCT 20, 2019UPDATED: OCT 20, 2019 Dieses Bier kam anno 2013 in einem ProBier-Paket vom Bier-Index und war wahrlich ein Top-Bier. Noch dazu zu einer Zeit als man mit der Bezeichnung eines Milk-Stout nicht viel anfangen konnte.
Aber schon damals holte man aromentechnisch alles raus: klassische Stout-Aromen in seiner Reinform und hinten nach die Milchsäure, die man vielleicht etwas harmonischer einbinden hätte können. Aber das ist schon eine Anmerkung auf allerhöchsen Niveau.
