The brewery's eponymous CAMRA champion (won when Dark Star was brewed at Pitfield). A dark strong bitter with a hint of rich malt flavour from the caramalt. Brewed with crystal malt, caramalt and roasted barley.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2020 Aroma : Medium roasted caramel malt, black treacle, toasted brown bread & some dark red/purple fruits with a little burnt woody spiciness. Taste : As aroma : Medium roasty bitter with a light sweet dark fruit edge and hint of burnt wood. Medium to full bodied. Excellent!
