UPDATED: NOV 15, 2020 Pint enjoyed in July 2003. Dark brown, richly malty with caramel and some roast notes.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2020 Aroma : Medium roasted caramel malt, black treacle, toasted brown bread & some dark red/purple fruits with a little burnt woody spiciness. Taste : As aroma : Medium roasty bitter with a light sweet dark fruit edge and hint of burnt wood. Medium to full bodied. Excellent!

Cask pint as Original at the King’s Tun, Kingston. Pours clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast malt with treacle and toffee. Sweetish taste and finish. A lot better than the last time I had it.

Tried at the Cardinals Hat, Lincoln. Deep ruby colour with a light tan head. Aroma stone fruit, stewed fruit and malty. taste light sweet to dry finish medium body.

Deep dark color with a small tan head on top. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Semi dry texture. Bready, roast and mild fruity flavor.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2017 Pours a dark brown colour with a small light beige head. A grainy roasted malt and brown bread aroma. Similar roasted grainy taste, moderately sweet and some dryness in the finish. Average.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Pours dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, caramel, hop, mild fruit. Light sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body and slick texture, carbonation is average.

Cask. Appearance is very dark brown, with a small beige head. Treacly malty aroma, with hints of brown bread. Taste- more treacle, burnt malt, brown sugar, toffee.

Cask @ The Fat Cat, Norwich. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits and hops. Sweet finish.
