UPDATED: SEP 23, 2020 Dark brown. Harsh, full coffee, burnt wood and burnt grains. molasses. Not sweet. Very tasty. Good degree of character by the end. Great beer with lots of character. Definitely. re-rate for fall 2020 release - keeping score the same this stuff must have just been canned as i can't remember tasting it this fresh before. earthy, rich, malty aroma. a lot of hop is coming through compared to previous tastes and is noticeably dank, resiny, i mean really surprisingly resiny for a stout not focused on hops. tootsie rolls, pleasant alcohol, great. probably my favourite ontario brewery and has been for almost 15 years now.

Raistlin (2399) - London, Ontario, CANADA - APR 3, 2018
Almost pitch black, slight ruby around the edges, tiny brownish grey head. Aroma is not too strong, roasty malt and coffee. Dark roast coffee taste, some dark chocolate and a tiny hint of smoke. Not much sweetness. Lighter body than most Imperial Stouts.

Bahumat (188) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 10, 2018
Taste is very cola-sweet with some chocolate and coffee overtones. Simple brew, approachable, but it's pretty underwhelming for an imperial stout. Wouldn't buy again, but would drink if offered.

Poured from bottle at home. Very thin head. Caramel and coffee aroma, a bit bright on the mouth, more sour than expected. Good beer but not nearly one of the best Imperials I’ve tasted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very tasty imperial stout, well-balanced, a good company while preparing a nice supper.

473 ml can @ ISKTR 2017. BBE 02.09.2017.
Pours dark brown, almost black color with a small head. Aroma is licorice and roasted malts, some chocolate, mild hops. Flavor is harsh bitter with dark malts and chocolate, cocoa notes, lots of licorice. A bit unbalanced, a bit disappointing.
