Trocken malziger Antrunk, mittelherb. Dann wässrig werdend, angenehme aber zu milde Röstigkeit. Schwach bitterer Nachgeschmack. 9/7/8/7/6/7

(bottle) pours a clear copper-amber colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of margerine and old meat, slightly perfumed, with notes of strawberries and brown sugar. flavour is roasted malts, light dark fruit, straw, herbal hops and burnt toffee. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

(Fasche) Es hat eine warme hellbraune Farbe, ist klar filtriert mit einer leicht bräunlichen schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist malzig bis honiglich. Der Geschmack ist wie das Aroma nir recht schlank.

The flavour is bitter-roasty, dark-malty, flowery-herb. A lot of flavours, drinkable, but nothing special. 11/9/9/9/10/10

Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild toasted malts, some slight fruity notes, mild ashes and some slight caramelly notes. Flavour is quite similar, but is a bit thin and mild. A quite bodied dunkel.

50cl bottle at Alquitara. Brown colour with an easy formation of a creamy and frothy tan head. Aroma is moderate dry fruits, malty and slightly sweet. Flavour is moderate malty, toasty, slightly bready and a final moderate bittery with an average duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high.

Geruch malzig, leicht säuerlich. Malziger Start mit säuerlichem Zug, wenig passend. Mittig verdünnt malzig. Moderat schokoladig-bitter im Abgang. Recht schwaches Bier - zu dünn.Test vom 1.7.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a crystal clear dark golden body and a small, dense, off-white to beige head. Caramel dominates the aroma, but leaves some room for fruity hops and grains. Hints of honey. The flavor is quite bitter, with sweet honey notes and some fruity hops. Medium body, decent carbonation. The finish is nutty with honey hints, caramel and some fruity hoppy bittering notes. A beer that starts rather boring but turns out quite nice. 110128

Slightly smoky, forested nutmeat, caramel, sharp sourdough bread, sweet maple. Wow, subtle flavors, well intertwined. Head dies pretty quickly and this does have a tinge of sourness. I like that, some won’t. Not too sweet; has the other ranges of flavors to compensate! Aroma is very good, slight spice, lots of brown sugar and forest elements. Lovely reddish color.
