Goldbarren (5544) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUN 21, 2019

Bottle. Hazy dark reddish brown colour with a relatively small, quickly disappearing tan head, nose is bready, malty and roasty with notes of dark bread, coffee chocolate ice cream, taste is sweet, roasty and a bit tart with a dry finish.

CanCrusher (2025) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - SEP 3, 2018
Bottle 0,33L. Deep dark amber color with small, frothy, light brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate, espresso and caramel malts. Light sweet taste with roasted malts, caramel, light coffee and milk chocolate. Crispy finish without expected bitter end. Solid classical English porter. Very drinkable, despite 6,6% ABV.

Olorin (365) - Graz, AUSTRIA - AUG 18, 2018
330 ml bottle. Clear dark brown colour, small head with low durability, nearly no lacing, soft carbonation. Nose is sweetish caramel malt, toffee. Flavour is medium sweet, light bitter, chocolate, smooth roasted notes. Relatively short finish despite 6,6 % alcohol. Simple and average stuff.

klukas (1314) - Rijeka, CROATIA - MAY 21, 2018
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into English pint (tulip) glass. Appearance: Brown, coffee-like colour, loud and short-lived head. Aroma: Hardly sensitive aroma of malt and chocolate. Palate: Medium body, light but crispy carbonation. Taste: Malt, dark chocolate, coffee, hint of hops, chocolate-bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Enjoyable and tasty; It is a pity that aroma isn’t stronger. (My version had 6,6% ABV?)

Inbreak (9950) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2018
06.03.2018, 0,33l bottle @ hotel room in Bietigheim-Bissingen:
Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, "knekk", dark sugar, dark malts, grass, licorice, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, dried dark fruits, hay, minerals, raisins, butterscotch. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, dark malts, bark, alcohol, grass, paper, sour caramel, licorice, sour coffee, fruit stones, hay, hints of dried dark fruits. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Fair enough.

MarkoNm (6159) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - DEC 2, 2017
Purs pitch black, topped with thin tan head, non-lasting. Milder chocolate nose, slight roastiness way in the back, later on a bit more coffee-like. Sweet malty start, a bit of chocolate here and there. Medium bitterness with a bit metallic-hebral finish that can be a bit too intrusive. Sparkly and light body. Not too bad, though not the best example.

herrklemann (1279) - Graz, AUSTRIA - NOV 11, 2017
Bottle. Tan head on an dark brown body. Sour-ish coffee, a bit lactic. Medium to high sweetness, lightly sour. Slick medium body with soft, lively carbonation. Okay.

2.9
nephirem (2336) - CROATIA - NOV 11, 2017
Bottle, 0.33l. Deep murky brown/ruby pour. No head, minimal lacing. Malts dominate the nose, caramel and toffee, brown sugar. Thin to medium body, medium carbonation. Somewhat light texture, could use a bit more thickness. Mild roasty bittersweet taste with slight fruity tartness. Aroma heavy on the malt, caramel and toffee, molasses, brown sugar. Lacks the robustness. Herbal liquory aftertaste. Slightly charred. Overall, mediocre. Drinkable, yes, but not much of a porter.
