Taster pour at the source. Appearance is dark brown with no sparkle, thin cap of head with decent retention. Aroma is dark fruits, alcohol/brandy. Taste is dark fruits, alcohol/brandy (a little too astringent), vanilla, nutmeg, light spice. Palate is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, good but brandy is too harsh--will benefit from aging.

Enjoyed at Freetail Bottleshare 2015... Milk chocolate, peppers, cinnamon, spices and roasted malts combine perfectly, easily the best version of the style I've had... Excellent beer, need to find more of this ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear cola brown to black with a thin tan head. Chocolate and cinnamon on the nose. Spice and cocoa. Medium bodied, cinnamon and spice dusty chocolate, cocoa. Big roast and cocoa with a lot of cinnamon bitterness. Almost acrid with the amount of spice obscuring everything.

Draft. Need label. Pours dark brown. Nose/taste of cinnamon, vanilla bean, chili pepper, oak, sweet chocolate and milk sugar. Medium body.

Draft at EBF. Dark pour with tan head. Chocolate, spice, cinnamon and vanila aromas. Flavors come together well, vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate and light peppers and spice.

Bottle..Pour is dark black with a light tan head..Nose is cinnamon, spice, peppers, lactose...Taste is cinnamon, milk chocolate, milk chocolate, graham cracker, soft pepper..

Bottle. Deep brown with a small head. Spicy coffee cake. Cocoa. Rich, sweet and spicy. Taste of coffee creamer, milk, toffee, earth. Nice and sweet. Dry finish. Some apple skin. Nice.

Bottle shared by Felipe. Tasting bottle #3. Pours clear deep mahogany, approaching black, medium fizzy tan head that dissipates very quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is cocoa, cinnamon, tart oak tannins, a bit of chili pepper. Flavor is light sweet and lightly tart, oaky acetic notes bring some sourness; a bit of basement funk present as well, along with mushroom (!) and lots of tobacco. Light body, high carbonation. Based on the description I would have to say this one is milking along an infection of some sort, but in any case it ain’t nothing to write home about.

bottle from clarkvv in trade. aroma was of a milk stout; nice dark pour; low carbonation. taste was subdued is the best word; nice to drink but nothing stood out for me - unlike most milk stouts, this was light on lactic and sweetness (good thin); there was some slight heat; I never got vanilla.
