Countbeer (6586) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2015Bottle: Vintage 2012: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Creamy brown head. Black body.
Aroma is very vinous with loads of wood. Also some metallic, roast, berry and a hint of alcoholic chocolate.
Flavour is again very vinous, some roast, berries, hint of bourbon, some mocha, again lot of wood and some raisin.
Aftertaste is bitter, mocha, bourbon, some praline and berries...
Low carbo, creamy soft mouthfeel, between medium and full bodied.
Seems to have some ties with wild/sour ale, possibly a light infection, still drinks fine, even a bit "refreshing".

thomashall (1696) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - FEB 21, 2015Tap at Town Hall. Pours dark black with foamy tan head. Aroma is strong alcohol and malts. Taste follows, too much wiskey flavor for my liking but a really solid stout.
