UPDATED: JAN 14, 2024 12 ounce bottle at the house in Stow, Ohio. Smell sweet malt. Bronze in color with white head. Taste the malt and some sweetness. Smooth and medium bodied. Hearty and flavorful. Malt aftertaste. Nice winter ale. Cheers!

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2023 12 oz bottle. Pours dark amber with tall, long lasting, fluffy, off white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of piney hops, caramel malt, dark fruit and spices. Body is full and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long, dry, spicy. Nice brew.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2023 Keg at Southern tier buffalo. Pours clear amber, nose is caramel, tangerine, floral, taste is citrus, toffee, sweet.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2023 Medium clear amber color beneath an off white shallow head. Sticky lacing. Nose of hops and a candied malty caramel. Watered and bitter first taste. Punchy, almost medicinally dry which each mouthfeel has to negotiate. The alcohol at 7.5% does come forward agreeably. Dry finish.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2022 Pours amber with a thin white head. Aroma of biscuits, grain, caramel. Taste has some more malty sweetness, some peppermint, mild hop oils, some resin. Palate has more oily herbal notes that linger on the nose, barley. Refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2022 From the Bottle at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico 07/08/2011 Grainy malt aroma. Amber red coloured fruity and malty with a hint of dryness and bitterness in a grainy malt finish.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2021 Draft at Misconduct. Clear deep amber pour with a slim top of beige foam. Medium-light malty brew. Spicy caramel sugars. Hints of vanilla, molasses, grass, and dank. Not extraordinary but a reasonable winter brew.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2021 Orange, biscuit malt, lemon peel and grass aroma. Amber with large light tan head. Moderately sweet citrus, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter hay/grass flavor. Good body. Pleasant.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2020 Bottle (BB Apr 1, 2021). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, malt syrup), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a note of alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Fairly boring aroma and way too sweet. Instantly forgettable.
