drpimento (7557) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 20, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2023 Aromas are dark malt, roast, molasses. Flavors are similar to nose, leaning sweet but with enough carbonation and bitter to balance. Seems to have aged well but not dramatically so. Not bad not great.

Tmoney99 (21163) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 30, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2019 Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy barrel aged toasted dark malt and hot spice aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy boozy sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy warming sweet finish of medium to long duration. This solid beer met my expectations.

jbruner (9247) - Lakewood, California, USA - APR 15, 2019
UPDATED: APR 15, 2019 Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with bubbly tan head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma of nice vanilla and chocolate bourbon barrel stout notes with a touch of cinnamon and spice behind. Taste follows, spice is low, but still present on the back of the tongue, barrel is there but not overdone. Nice beer.

Oakes (30680) - Richmond, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2018 Medium brown. Barrely, nose. Chocolate, fudge, fruity, slight tart, hint of chocolate. It ends up being kind of an odd combo.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2018, vintage 2018
Black colour. Tobacco aroma, good malt depth, some chocolate, the pepper kick goes along with the alcohol booziness.
Excellent.

mcberko (41909) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 9, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2018 750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with chili peppers upfront, with lots of cinnamon and a bit of cocoa. Flavour is quite spicy, with lots of chili peppers, cocoa and cinnamon. Spicy and cinnamony. Not really a fan.
