UPDATED: MAR 27, 2024 Bottled, 500ml from Kay Gee's Off Licence, Didcot, Oxon. Clouded orange gold with white head. Along came the Weisse flavours with this, ripe banana, pear drops, some caramel, some spicy notes, no hanging back with this one. Quite heavy on the palate becoming sweeter through the beer. Some alcohol fruited notes, pretty yeasy. It's fine.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2024 Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a hazy pale orange colour with a large thick creamy white head. Aromas of bananas, pear drops, cloves and peppery spice. Taste is again more bananas, pear drops, cloves and peppery spice with an added note of bubblegum and and a touch of warming alcohol. Medium to full body with fairly low carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Maybe not one of my favourite styles of beer but this is a very good example of the style. Nice.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2023 Golden, slightly hazy, with a white head that dilapidates quickly. Distant banana aroma and taste. However, savory flavors dominate, grain, yeast, subtle bitterness.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2023 Im Glas leuchtet ein sattes unfiltriertes Goldorange, der feste, reichhaltige Schaum komplettiert dieses schöne Bild. Es riecht sehr frisch und schön fruchtig-hefig, überreife, schon gärende Banane muss an dieser Stelle einmal mehr als Gleichnis herhalten. Der Antrunk ist angenehm rezent, nicht übertrieben spritzig, vielmehr dem Bierstil entsprechend dosiert. Einerseits habe ich das frische, fruchtige Weizenaroma, andererseits die kräftige Intensität des Bockbieres. Etwas ausgereifte Banane kommt durch, auch sind Spuren von hellen Trauben und grünen Äpfeln auszumachen. Die Süße ist zwar durchaus vorhanden, aber zu keiner Zeit aufdringlich. Zur Mitte hin wird es merklich würziger, der Hopfen macht sich sanft bemerkbar. Eine alkoholische Note ist nur schemenhaft schmeckbar, ein wärmendes Gefühl verbleibt nach dem Trinken dieses Weizenbocks. Der lange Abgang rundet den Bock meisterhaft ab. Ein exzellenter Weizenbock, der sich gut trinken lässt und auch ein stattliches Volumen vorzuweisen hat.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2023 Eingetrübt bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell, cremig. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2022 Almost clear, amber color and a huge white head. Yeasty, banana nose. Taste is also yeasty, banana, caramel; creamy mouthfeeling. Nice warming , sweetish finish.
