COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name is derived for the Irish work Dubhain which means "black one" or "dark one". Dwan's signature beer is a strong, traditional, Irish extra stout with a classic balance of roasted barley and Galena hops. This beautiful and complex beer should be sipped to be appreciated fully.

Cask Conditioned at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott. Dark black beer with red hints, tan head. Licorice flavours dominate, with coffee and some ripe fruit. Dark and bitter soul, a proper Irish Stout. Seek this one out if you can.

Draught. Blackred beer with beige head. No notes on the aroma I´m afraid. Maybe I forgot or didn´t it have any. Fruity flavour with tones of coffee and chocolate. Dwan are always reliable and the coolest

madbeer101 (11906) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2003
Draught: Pure black coloured. Head is huge and creamy. Aroma is roasty and coffeish. Flavour is roasted coffee with some toffee accents. Ends up in a faboulous bitterness on the palate. Last long. Definately better than Murphys and Guiness.

Ungstrup (51301) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2003
A black beer with a light creamy head. The aroma is smoked and sweet. The flavor is creamy and smoked from a good malt blend. It is very smooth for a smoked stout - great taste which makes it a good beer.
