nearbeer	3.7 Highland Lower Falls 12 pack of 12 ounce cans, filled 02/19/24. Slight fog on the brassy colored body topped by a quarter inch, creamy head. Aroma of zesty lemon and orange, pineapple, caramel, and a bit of resinous herb. Flavors of resin, caramel, and peppery lemon pith. Purchased at Food City. Sunday, April 21, 2024

ChainGangGuy	4 Cerveza Filled On 01/16/24. Appearance: Pours a clear, dark yellow-hued body with an initial surge of white suds. Modest lacing. Smell: Powdered lime. Light, cereal-sweet malts with a faint bread, toasty quality. Taste: Lightly sweetish, cereal-toned malts with an everso slight breadiness. A solid, hey-its-lime flavor without going too overboard. Sufficient, scantly herbal/spicy hops underneath. Lime flavor recedes into the background of the drying, crispish finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: I appreciate the lime is a nice accent and there is a well-built beer underneath, my only gripe is this out in the wintertime. This is a beer in the hand, toes in the sand kinda beverage. I mean, there's little starfish and sunshines on the can. Winter? C'mon, Highland, let's use our heads. Friday, March 8, 2024
MicroGrog	3.7 Highland Cold Mountain Winter Ale 12/19/21 Single from Whole Paycheck. Duvel glass @home. Filled 11/01/21. 5.9% abv. Dense egg cream head. Sticky. Mild malt, bag of cheap candy bars, very very gentle spice. Egg cream, Cola, Milk Duds, faded but lingering bitter spice. Flavors build a bit as it warms, lo-key raisin, peanuts, but who's going to nurse a 5% beer? Gentle, thin, non-demanding, smooth. Might have another. Tuesday, March 5, 2024

Tastes of toasted coconut meat, coffee with cream, and dark chocolate. Finishing bits of dusty oats and graham flour. The piquant herb and smoke linger, mingled with a hint of coconut in the aftertaste. Medium-plus body is smooth with near middling carbonation. Excellent balance. Purchased at Kroger. Aroma of resin, earthy honey, white grape, and green herb with touches of cat spray and dank. Tastes of the same mix up front, followed by more white grape and hints of peach and papaya. Finishes with slightly peppery, woody hops and more herb. Light-medium mouthfeel with smooth, medium carbonation. mrjaxson	3.8 Highland Oatmeal Porter Very nice looking beer that pours to a beautifully puffy head that subsequently laces the glass throughout the drinking experience. Aroma is a smoky, almost charred, chocolate. It has a medium-weight body with a nice hop tingle on the tongue before settling into a sweet finish.
