2 Colorado Cider Glider Cider From a can. Pours a very light straw color with zero head and no lacing. Extremely light aroma of apples and maybe apricot. Not very well balanced - sweetness but very little tartness. Sunday, December 31, 2023

3.6 Colorado Cider Grasshop-ah Pours a honey color with an effervescent bright white head which quickly dissipates, but the cider is continually bubbling lightly. Aroma is of lemongrass and some sort of fruit (apples?). A quite interesting palate- it’s sweet as a cider beer is normally sweet, but it has a light hops flavoring as well. Somewhat dank, but in a pleasant way. Strange, but interesting! Friday, December 29, 2023

3.4 Colorado Cider Radl' Ah 12 oz. can. Pours no head, over a clear bubbly light yellow (SRM 2) body.....nose is light apple, lemon, lemongrass, no hops.......taste is lightly sweet with apple, lemon, tones, lemongrass, minimal malt tones, no hops......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. The fruit tones are not as strong as often in the Radler style, but it is still drinkable and refreshing. Tuesday, March 12, 2019

3.5 Colorado Cider Grasshop-ah Can, the date code baffles me. Pours a clear straw yellow with not much of a head of foam. Smells of semi tart apples, light lemongrass, basic but inviting. Lemongrass comes through more in the taste than the smell. Solid semi tart apples lead the way. Light body with light carbonation. A nice diversion from beer. Very tasty and refreshing. 1.9 Colorado Cider Little Cascara Clear deep honey golden with a thin bubbly white cap. Funky off nose with tones of honey and earthy must and just kinda weird old garbage smells. The flavor pops with an initial sweetness followed by honey and apple succulence but then this stale earthy tone comes in and dries it out to the bone. Just a weird melange of flavors. Earthy and odd and appley sweet and sharp and stale and mouldy. Saturday, April 14, 2018

2.2 Colorado Cider Molly's Barrel Aged Cider Clear translucent straw with the thinnest faint of a pinkish hue. Slightly vanilla woody aroma with light apple fruit kisses. Surprisingly light aroma. Smooth and soft body that's neither sweet or dry, just kinda flat and there, with a super light apple fruit tone and just...plain as hell. Super let down and disappointed in this. This is barely a cider, but a bourbon barrel aged cherry cider? Where?? Wednesday, September 20, 2017

2.7 Colorado Cider Radl' Ah 12 oz can at the Boulder Theater. Aroma of lemons, sugar, apples and light herbal/grassy notes. Similar flavor, sugary and sweet with a lingering lemon finish. Light body with a watery feel. Unbalanced and kind of hard to drink overall. Tuesday, June 13, 2017

3.6 Colorado Cider Glider Cider - Spruced Clear pale golden with no head, even when poured with vigor. Weirdly charming nose of apple and honey and a piney outdoorsy deodorant fragrance. Brisk bright flavor that’s the same as the nose; honey, apple, brisk piney outdoorsy perfume fragrance, and a crisp herbal finish. Semidry and interesting. Tuesday, May 9, 2017

2.8 Colorado Cider Cherry Glider Cider Clear pretty golden with a faint cherry hue. Artificial apple and cherry nose. But the flavor is light and crisp and pleasantly tart and appley with some light fruity cherry tones. Just kinda medium all around. Monday, October 24, 2016

3.6 Colorado Cider Radl' Ah Clear apple-straw hue with no head, even when poured with vigor. Nice aroma with a clean crisp apple juice tone and a light touch of lemongrass. Crisp flavor of the same. Light lemonrassy flavor with clean and crisp apple flavors, and finishes with a wee touch of beeswax...lemon tinged beeswax. Monday, July 4, 2016

4 Colorado Cider Distraction 375 ml bottle poured a clear bright tarnished gold with no head (still). Aromas of apple, rum, oak and light dried fruit. Palate was light bodied and smoith. Flavors of apple, oak, light honey and light rum with a smooth finish. Saturday, January 23, 2016

2.8 Colorado Cider Glider Cider Blackbelly Market, 11/23/15. Clear pour. Fairly heavy sweet apple aroma and flavor. Not much in here to balance it out. I guess there’s a hint of tartness, but I would have preferred more, because it was still too sweet. Too much so for my preference in the style. Tuesday, December 15, 2015

2.5 Colorado Cider Glider Cider - Dry Bottle. Pale pear-pulp-white with perfect clarity. Aroma’s almost like a Chardonnay -- white grape, a little tartness, lime. Acidity in the flavor is pronounced, following pear and lingering long after the dry finish. A little one-note for my tastes. Sunday, September 13, 2015

3.8 Colorado Cider Grasshop-ah Bottle. Pale dandelion and perfect clarity. Aroma: mint, black peppercorns, Fuji apple, a bit of mulled character. The flavor is quite unique -- a melange of wintergreen and cilantro, green apple skins, white grape and smooth red apple. Fairly dry, with lingering herbal quality. Really complex, tasty stuff. 3.3 Colorado Cider Glider Cider Bottle. Extremely pale in hue, the color of pear pulp. Perfect clarity. Aroma gives off notes of Fuji apples; flavor has soft sweetness and just a bit of acidity. Not a ton of complexity here, but good balance and drinkability. Friday, September 4, 2015

2.5 Colorado Cider Glider Cider - Dry On tap at Compass Ciders. Pale, clear, almost no color in appearance with a touch of active carbonation. Notes of apple, pear and champagne in the nose. The flavor is similar, a bit vinous with notes of white wine and a light dry finish. Light bodied and easy to drink, but pretty boring overall. Friday, August 21, 2015

1.4 Colorado Cider Pioneer Series - Newtown Pippin Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is very light yellow. Aroma is light notes of lemon cleaning product, ammonia, plastic, apple skin. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft/flat carbonation, lightly astringent. CO Cider sadly still seems unable to create a clean product...as with Crispin’s ciders, this one has obvious ammonia taint, along with other chemical notes, and precious little of anything enjoyable in the nose (barely even any apple). Unsurprisingly dirty aftertaste and a very light and watery mouthfeel. Almost no color. Imagine mixing 50 parts water, one part apple juice, and a little spritz of ammonia...then toss in some chunks of a plastic baggie and stir...that’s kinda the impression this gives. And no, I’m not exaggerating...I wish I was. Saturday, March 14, 2015
