Brigadier	3.7 Blind Tiger Prickly Pear Sour On tap at GTMW 2023 A vibrant blend of pear and tropical fruits delivers everything as promised in the program. Having not visited Blind Tiger for a few years it was nice to discover they still know how to make an accessible, if unremarkable, sour for their local audience. While I would not go too far out of my way for more it would definitely be worth consideration if I were ever in Topeka. AROMA / APPEARANCE Fresh pear and guava sparkle with a playful nose that is crisp. The airy open nature melts gently in the air. FLAVOR / PALATE Sparkling fresh fruits slide easily across the palate with a gentle tart core. The airy nature of this kettle sour delivers an experience that melts on the throat rather than offering something more abrasive. A smooth balance makes it ideal for almost any weather though I would enjoy it much more in the warm summer months. Friday, October 6, 2023

Aroma has bread and grain notes with a bit of biscuit and sweetness coming through. Flavor combines bread and sweet grains well with some biscuit and a hint of caramel underlying. Flavour is odd, with light whiskey barrels, toasted malt, and a touch of smoke. Not a great barrel expression, nor is the base beer all that special. Meh. Monday, December 12, 2022
mcberko	2.3 Blind Tiger Kansas Grown Cold IPA On tap at Blind Tiger, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt — a litre jagged and harsh. Flavour is crunchy, with a poor hop expression — there’s almost a cardboardy character to it all. Bad hops? Bad malt? Flavour is rather herbal and almost fungal, with a subtly sweet herbal, biscuity malt. I’m not sure how this ever won awards. This is mediocre at best. Monday, December 12, 2022

Flavour is dry and gently smoky, with light campfire smoke, gently sweet bready malt and a hint of caramel. Not as pleasing as their smoked helles I just tried. It’s alright. Aroma brings out a nice campfire smoke character upfront, with light herbal notes in back. Flavour is nicely smoky, with plenty of campfire smoke, light sweetness and biscuity malt.
