Depot Street Velocipede Pale
Pale yellow pour with creamy white head. Aroma is resiny/citrus zest dominated. Flavor is lemony citrus and slightly sweet malt. Light bodied and a touch watery but a solid resiny bitter makes it a good beer.

Deep orange/gold pour with creamy white head. Aroma is solid maltiness with just a touch of floral hops. Flavor is a sweet malt start and a slight floral note. Finishes dry with a slight bittter. Malt dominated flavor which I think is good. No off flavors just mostly malt. Medium body that waters out at the end. well done to me

First beer back in America. And true German style. Not to bad malty with a bit more hop bite but still sweeter and happier than a basic lager. Nice job. This could hold up in Germany. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"courtesy of bluesandbarbq - nice looking cloudy ruby brown ale. smoke in the aroma with some fruity maltiness. smooth body as well, but the flavor was a bit of a hybrid of styles, although i’d guess unintentionally. the fruitiness from the malt was cool, but there was the (sometimes present in scottish ales) lemony astringency that took away from the flavor of the peet and smoke. the aftertaste was both scottish ale and a weak attempt at a sour. possibly oxidized?? i’ve had occasional bottles of Sacsquatch & Kilt Lifter’s that had a similar aspect as well-but never on tap."

the style and part of the name say Pale, but the brewer’s description and the bottle say Amber. light amber color with a nicely balanced aroma of fruity malt, nuts, and hops. a smooth easy drinking amber. not complicated, but pleasant in every aspect. "

"thanks Lou. beer #1 of the giant box! lots of suds here. it headed up two inches, but i turned my back, and when i came back, it was an inch or so above the glass and spilling over. a little oxygen? pretty dark, though a thinner stout. nice aromas of roasted grain, molasses, and the slightest hint of rye and like they say, astringency. i wanted more rye...i didn’t really get any in the flavor. overall, a decent dry stout."

A nice relatively easy-drinking IPA, pours a very attractive pale ruby appearance with good lacing, could pass for an amber ale based on looks. Smell is fresh and features both the piney hop and malty notes. The flavor itself is a lighter-bodied west coast hoppiness with a thin malty background. Hint of caramel present. Toasty and tasty, although it seems there is some off-flavors in the finish. Bitterness is a bit sticky. Still pretty good overall, and it's lighter weight makes it more sessionable. Not sure if I'd drink this again, but I'm glad I tried it. Depot Street brewing is on the right track.

Depot Street Roundabout Rye Stout
My introduction to Tennessee micro-brewing. This brew offers a unique combination, traditional coffee and dark chocolate stout flavors with a rye malty tang. Pours from the bottle a brown/ black color with some white head, average appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, average. Good distinctive flavor overall, enjoyable, medium mouthfeel, dryer finish. As I've never seen a rye stout before, I would drink this again as a bit of a novelty offering. A good introduction to Depot Street brewing.
