3.8 Cooperstown Benchwarmer Bottle (5/10/17) pour courtesy of Jon. It's an opaque black with light sparkle, finger-width beige to light brown head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is chocolate over earthy roasted malts and toffee. Taste is strong toffee over chocolate and earthy roasted malts. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, creamy texture, average carbonation, crisp, fairly dry finish as taste. Overall, enjoyable. not super complex or strong but well balanced but goes well together. Surprisingly still good even with all this time since bottling. Monday, December 6, 2021

3.6 Cooperstown Bambino I had it on tap. It pours reddish amber with a white head. There's a nice aroma of caramel, roasted malt, and hops. The taste is toffee, roast, and earthy hops. I like this kind of amber. It's not overly malty. There's a nice hop balance. Monday, November 4, 2019

3.4 Cooperstown Bambino DATE: November 11, 2018... OCCASION: celebrating four days well spent--cleaning, repairing, sports watching--with a baseball beer? Why not... GLASSWARE: Victory Hop Devil nonick... pours from a 16 oz. can a light amber orange body full of life and effervescence, which builds a thick, two-finger off-white head that pillows to fluffy cambering... in short, it fits the bill of its label... the nose is greeted by nicely toasted malts, mild spiciness, floral hops, light tea, and enough caramel to whet the appetite.... its first sip is soft, buttery, and welcoming... at 5.5% ABV, a sessionable, somewhat thin body... its finish is apologetic and brief in its length... not much buzz at the teeth either.... pleasantly enough, toffee couples with the caramel to offer a singular profile of maltiness--sweet but refreshing, with its toasted malts stating its case... not a Hall of Famer, but worthy of consideration by the veterans' committee... definitely an every day kind of beer... 3 Cooperstown Old Slugger Dark clousy orange color. A bit malt heavy for me, pine and classic apa bitterness, cracker bready malts, bittersweet finish. OK. Thursday, October 18, 2018

3.2 Cooperstown Induction Ale Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 2018! It was light and easy drinking, all I really remember, but nothing else really stood out for me. This festival is a free for all, great time for getting pretty drunk, no lie. Tuesday, August 7, 2018

3.7 Cooperstown Squeeze Play Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 2018! Pours a chill hazed golden brown on tap with bubbly off-white head. Aroma and taste of classic old school DIPA, big on the citrus and resinous pine hops with a touch of caramel malt and the slight booze of lots of pale malt and sugar. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Tuesday, August 7, 2018

3.6 Cooperstown Striker Brown Ale Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a light tan foamy head that trickled off at a decent pace. Sliding roaming lace. The aroma had a sweet roasted maltiness rolling into some sly sweet nuts and bread. Slight earthy hoppiness. The flavor was mostly malty sweet with a slight roastiness to it. Nuts and bread came about slightly. Aftertaste was bready and nutty. Finish was basically the same. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed a bit lower and the ABV felt fine. Overall, I didn’t mind this brown ale, probably could slug back a few pints on a late Summer’s afternoon or early Autumn. 3.5 Cooperstown Induction Ale Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a slight golden yellow color with a thin white foamy head that softly died out. Messy sliding lace. The aroma had some grainy sweet cereal to corn qualities. Faint grassy hops. Some light honey and toast. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side of the malts with the hops keeping that backseat. Light cereal to toast-like aftertaste rolling into the finish. The feel was light bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Light carbonation. Good ABV - felt appropriate. Overall, works as a blonde/golden ale to me. Nothing really wrong with this one. 2.5 Cooperstown Induction Ale Bottle sample at a a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks Alon. Golden. Grainy aroma with cereals, malt, corn, fruity note, faint hops. Sweetish grainy flavor with honey hint, fruity note, and a bitterish hops finish. Medium-bodied. Saturday, April 1, 2017

3.3 Cooperstown Nine Man Ale APPEARANCE- copper color w red hue, very nice head. NOSE- very earthy hop scent. Not floral, fruity or resin. FLAVOR- maltiness is evident. Hops are slightly perceptible, which works for a pale ale. NOTES- this is rated pretty poorly for what it is. It’s a drinkable pale ale. I suspect the lower rateing is because the ninth man knows what he is and isn’t trying to be like every other hopped up pale ale or ipa out there. Sunday, October 30, 2016

3.9 Cooperstown Pride of Milford Special Ale The body has a rich amber color, good clarity and light off white head. The head fades quickly to just a thin wispy covering. This makes a little slick lacing on the glass. The aroma has a firm malty character with a good hit of earthy and lightly citrusy hops. The flavor reflects nose with its solid, lightly toasted malty base. The malt sweetness has some toffee and nuttiness with mellow fruity notes blended with both juicy and earthy hop notes. Hop bitterness keep the sweetness in check and gives good balance to the finish. This also makes this beer very drinkable even at 7.7%abv. The palate is a medium bodied with balanced carbonation. 3.9 Cooperstown Old Slugger The body has a slightly hazy look with a good amber color and a creamy off white head. The two finger head slowly settles as I drink and makes some spotty lacing on the glass. It has a nice blend of bready maltiness with a pleasant butterfinger like caramel/toffee sweetness and citrus/grassy hops. It starts with a good base of bready malt and very light toasted grain. This is balanced buy mildly bitter hops that add a touch of citrus and grassy flavor to the overall character. It finishes with a mild bitter fade on a smooth yet well carbonated medium body. 4 Cooperstown Back Yard IPA A small one finger thick white head sits on top of a beautiful clear amber liquid. This head settles down to thin cap which make for some spotty slick lace on the glass. It has a modest nose with some hints of sugary sweet lemon aid like citrus notes over pale white bready notes. The flavor starts with a base of sweet bready malt with hints of caramel/toffee, Butterfinger like, candy mixed in. Hop flavor adds juicy lemony citrus notes that fade into bitter piney hop notes that hang onto the palate and last well into the finish. The body has a good medium feel with nicely balanced carbonation. Wednesday, June 25, 2014

4.1 Cooperstown Strike Out Stout The body has a deep dark brown, nearly black color. It is very dark and nearly opaque. On top sits a small one finger thick foam head. It is tan in color and quickly settles down to a thin wispy layer that just covers the top. Lacing is minimal and slippery. There is a firm aroma of sweet roasted/toasted malts with notes of fresh brewed coffee and just a hint of dark chocolate. There is a solid sweet roasted malty character with a good balance of toasted bready notes and dark roasted bitter coffee notes. As the beer warms hints of dark chocolate and mild spicy hops sneaks in there here and there as well as some mellow almost brandy like alcohol notes. The palate has a solid medium feel with mellow balanced carbonation. Wednesday, June 25, 2014

4 Cooperstown Nine Man Ale It has a golden body with a good clear appearance. Its head is bright white and faids slowly. In the nose there are notes of pale maltiness and mild citrus hops. Like the aroma, the hop flavor is fresher and more vibrant. The light pale maltiness is cleaner as well and I didn’t notice any diacetyl notes. It is still light and fairly clean on the finish with just a little more citrus hop character. This is very refreshing, light bodied and easy drinking. Wednesday, June 25, 2014

3.9 Cooperstown Striker Brown Ale The body has a dark brown color with a slight reddish hue when held up light. It is dark but the clarity is still good. Its head has a light tan color and stands about one finger tall. It slowly fades down to just a wispy thin layer that makes some slick lacing. There is sweet roasted maltiness in the nose with notes of dark caramel, toffee and just a slight hint of hops. The flavor has a very sweet and bready malt character with notes of brown sugar, caramel, and some deep roasted notes. There is a very light and smooth buttery flavor as well. Hop flavor and bitterness are very light and offer very little balance to the sweet malt. It has a medium body with a smooth texture and light but active carbonation. Wednesday, June 25, 2014

4 Cooperstown Benchwarmer The body has a dark black look with a very dark reddish brown hue when held up to light. On top is a tan colored foamy head. It slowly fades down to a thin wisp covering that makes some slick lacing. Its aroma has dark bready notes with some dark roasted and chocolaty barley malt. Hop notes are very mild and add a very light herbal quality to the overall aroma. There is a dark bready base with lots of dry, roasted, toasted and chocolaty maltiness. There is a very mild toffee like sweetness underneath that I really like. Hop flavor is well balanced for the style and adds plenty of dry herbal notes to the mix. It finishes very dry with dark chocolaty, toasted and very light coffee notes. The palate has strong medium body with a smooth texture and mellow carbonation. Wednesday, June 25, 2014
