MicroGrog	4.2 Squatters Hop Rising Hazy Double IPA Thirsty Growler, half pour, about ready to call the free shuttle. Hazy honey gold, frothy pour. Honey & subtle, soft fresh, juicy apple-orange nose. Honey sweet upfront, softly astringent bitterness, a touch of lime, tea tannins, dry burnt toast finish. Really great, even despite my hazy bias. Monday, June 5, 2023

KevinReddirt	3.4 Squatters Hop Rising Hazy Double IPA I found a 12 oz can in the singles rack at the local HEB not long ago. This evening I will tilt into my ABGB tulip glass for the sampling. An indistinct medium yellow liquid greets me finished by a bare ring of fully white, small bubbles. I smell ripe yellow fruit with a dash of tropical tossed in, your basic NE style scent. A taste gives a hint of varnish, pineapple, malt, grain, orange peel, peaches and some grassiness. Nothing to really set this beer apart but there is no reason to not enjoy what it is. Floral notes and peach fruitiness in the aroma. Sweet flavor, some cookie dough accents, candied grapefruit, not real bitter, some light caramel notes, a bit too much sweetness for an IPA. Lively and refreshing, of the style I most enjoy, pairing nicely with pizza. Ran down to the nearby market (Sol Supermarket in Springdale UT) to pick up a couple sixers to bring home! Aroma of hay pilsner grain and grassy hops underneath, a clean lager yeast throughout. Taste is moderately bitter with a touch of astringency, light sweetness from the malt, crisp finish. Aroma of citrus peel and peach ring hop notes over a light biscuit and wheat malt base. Taste is lightly sweet from the malt and candied citrus hop notes, light bitterness from the hops, a little thin but still decent enough for the lower abv. Solid. Thursday, April 28, 2022
