Poured from 16 oz. can. Mildly hazy, golden orange with a 3-finger off-white, billowy head and very good lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral hops, pineapple, mustiness, herbal hops and a little tropical fruit. Taste of citrus, floral hops, pineapple, tropical fruit and pine resin. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation. This brew is a bit of a hodgepodge of hops—perhaps too much so for its own good.

Ipswich Dark Ale
This is a backlog rating from 2012 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are roasted malts, earthy hops, doesn't fully satisfy, age questions.

Ipswich Oatmeal Stout
My favorite stout if I do not consider porters like Founders Porter. Dry stout and less sweet than most of the Guinness stouts Iike. I rate it slightly higher than my favorite Guinness. And as always, don't drink it cold.

From the 16 oz. can released in January 2019. Heady medium amber pour with plenty of lacing as it fades and a bit of a cloud. Vibrant aromas of banana, clove, and sweet roasted barley malts with no alcohol noted. The mouthfeel is smooth and medium-heavy. Sweet flavors was the same banana and clove characters but something a little hay-like that sets it back a notch. Warming.

Draft taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is cloudy yellow with no sparkle, finger-width fizzy foamy white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus and fruit, vegetal/herb. Taste is orange and pineapple, vegetal more than herbal contribution. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and crisp, abrupt finish (better to burn out than fade away). Overall, this has a nice mix of fruit, citrus and herb but it vanishes quickly.

Pint can from Sam's Quik Shop. Pours murky gold with a large yellowish head. Aroma is bitter citrus, a little funk, resin: overall not overly pleasant smell but not off-putting. Flavor is bitter citrus peel, floral hops, pine, resin, bread, green grass, glue, aspirin. Wayyyyy too much aspirin in the end. Did I just chew a few and forget?

Thanks to Chiguy for this delightfully delicious morsel of a brewski, but I digress don't I? Anywho, this is a fucking good beer, pardon my french:) But seriously this is a good fucking beer! Hazy deep orange pour, steady white head, deep loving aromas, heavy mango IPA tastees and such. Aw hell yeah!!!!🖤

Really enjoyed this sour as it popped more than any sour I have had. It is a light amber color with a red tint. Very light aroma of sour. The first sip is almost like a cranberry juice but more tart and without the sweetness to balance it out. There is a nice malt and wheat note at the end with the cranberry fruity Taste.

Ipswich Barley Wine
From a crowler can filled at the brewery on June 27, 2018. It looks handsome with its copper-reddish pour underneath a lingering soft off-white head. The aroma is much sweeter than a typical barleywine with an emphasis on caramel and toffee rather than sweet barley malts. No forward booze bite on the nose. Also something vaguely fruity like apple or pear and a musty cellar sensation. Medium to heavy body. The booze erupts with a passion in the taste. Whoa! It tends to overtake the sweet maltiness that one normally gets in the style. Warming, cleansing, and musty finish.

Ipswich Pilsner
On tap at Ipswich Brewing on 06/27/18. This is actually called Pesky Pils. Golden yellow pour with an unfiltered haze. Nice toasted Euro-malts on the nose with grassy sensations. The body is light to medium. Sweet toasted biscuit and corn bread in the taste with a mild, dry bitter end. Refreshing. Crisp. Clean. The way I like Pilseners.

From the 16 oz. can with a canning date of 03/28/18. The pour is a cloudy looking orange-yellow with a foamy white head that lingers. It leaves plenty of lacing. I pick up an array of aromas including citrus, herbal, orange juice, and resin with a more mellow bread malt presence. Medium body that is also effervescent. A nice bitter citrus foundation to the taste with a balanced herbal character too. Ends clean.
